MasterChef Canada S04 E05 Full Episode: The Top 9 were divided into three teams and challenged to create gourmet burgers and fries for a group of hungry motorcycle enthusiasts. Aaron chose Trevor and Thea, forming the Red team. Alisha chose Matt and Barrie, forming the Blue team, while Mai chose Justine and was left with Miranda, forming the Green team. The Green team was declared the winner in a close result by beating the Blue team by 8 orders. Subscribe: / masterchefworld
The home cooks on the losing teams faced a difficult pressure test featuring a classic French dessert: Mille-feuille. One home cook from each of the Red and Blue teams was saved. After asking the team captains' opinions, the judges declared that the losing home cooks decided together as to who would be saved. While Alisha took responsibility for the loss, Aaron decided to save himself, disappointing Thea. Ultimately, the Red Team decided to save Aaron and the Blue Team decided to save Barrie, leaving Thea, Trevor, Matt and Alisha to cook in the pressure test. Thea and Matt made the best Mille-feuilles. In the bottom two, Trevor was saved and Alisha was eliminated.

Aaron is such disappointment here. He made all decisions himself and acted as accountable leader, but when he lost he just evaded all responsibility. I would never hire someone like that to be chef in my restaurant.

He did litterally everything wrong. Went with a basic burger, cooked them to order, cooked them medium rare. He should have had this challenge in his pocket and threw it away.

@theslowevo9303 the thing is. Medium rare burgers maybe good. But you are using grinding meat. The dangerous bacteria in a meat is on the outside of the meat.thats why the exterior of a steak have to be cooked but the inside not. But in ordering burgers with grind meat unless you grind it on your own most of ground meat leaves its exterior on in the grind so thats why it have to be cooked completely. I'd rather be safe then sorry for burgers man. If its steak though it will be different😊

@@ethandanielliang1231 of course it is simple. He leaves of most of the toppings that can be found on other burgers for the sake of letting the meat really shine. It cannot get much simpler. That of course isn‘t normal by any means but it certainly isn‘t high class aswell.

@@timmodrow437 But even the chef said he took a really fancy and wrong approach. Bonaccini told him that he would like to sell a medium rare burger in one of his restaurants, hence the “FANCINESS”. This challenge was about sales and feeding people who were expecting good food, not technically raw burgers. The seasoning and simplicity of the meat has nothing to do with this.

@@ethandanielliang1231 nobody argues if the approach to the challenge was wrong. It clearly was a dumb decision to serve medium burgers. I argued about them being high class and fancy which they just are not. Also Bonaccini Never Said that. He said that he himself likes medium rare burgers but that even in his restaurant medium burgers are send back time and time again. That just shows that a lot of people dislike medium rare burgers and not that they are fancy in any way.

This episode was crazy because Alisha was brave to take one for the team and cook eliminating herself when she could have saved herself and Trevor who won the whole thing was at rock bottom with that spicy Tuna Casserole play he made with too much habanero and also Thea who was really having to cook in every challenge who was 2nd place. Crazy turn around for both these 2 contestants.

Aaron had such potential in this season of MasterChef and he did do well and create amazing food , However this episode is when he struggled . Not seasoning the meat of the burger was an extremely stupid decision although the pimento cheese and the other toppings on the red teams burger were really good according to chef Claudio and the customers and to that I say credit where credit is due. But , Even McDonalds seasons their burgers !. The Chefs clearly stated that the challenge was about the sales and not entirely about the quality of the burger, and the red team ultimately struggled with delivering the burgers to the customers as well as raw burgers being sent back . And at his elimination, Chef Micheal even offered Aaron a job ! . I respect Micheal Bonacini And I do hope Aaron is doing well, But I find it hard to believe that Chef Micheal offered a job to someone who can’t even cook and season a burger properly!

If you do thicker pattys and have your own selfmade ground meat for sure. If you do thinner pattys or use preground meat than you should always cook all the way through (or at the very least medium well).

By health and safety it is not how it should be cookes. You literally risking yourself being infected eating it that way. It's only acceptable in high end restaurants where the meat is of the mince made of is the highest class. That's why it costs triple the price in fine dining compared to your local diner, chippy or restaurant.

For example : if you make a burger with wagyu and the wagyu is the highest class, A5, then it's okay to cook it medium rare, but if its classed as A3 wagyu, then it's not safe and should be cooked throughly.
