Fu Galileo Galilei che, nel 1583, osservando una lampada del Duomo di Pisa scoprì l'isocronismo del pendolo e aprì così la strada alla possibilità di misurare e riprodurre la velocità di una pulsazione ritmica. Tra le prime testimonianze disponibili, pare che Christoph Bernhard (1628 - 1692), allievo e cantore di Heinrich Schütz, abbia usato l'oscillazione di un pendolo per determinare la velocità di esecuzione di un brano (episodio desunto da Johann Mattheson, Der volkommene capellmeister, 1739). Il primo utilizzo, sia pure solo sotto il profilo teorico, del pendolo avviene con Thomas Mace (Musick's Monument, Londra 1676). Un ulteriore perfezionamento anche sul piano pratico fu condotto nel 1696 da Étienne Loulié (Elémens ou principes de musique, mis dans un nouvel ordre), che mise a punto il primo metronomo graduato, chiamato Cronometro di Loulié, costituito da un peso fissato a un filo che non produceva battiti udibili ma andava osservato. Questo modello fu, a sua volta, rielaborato nella sua forma definitiva a doppio pendolo dall'orologiaio di Amsterdam Dietrich Nikolaus Winkel, che va considerato il vero inventore del metronomo moderno.

@@gianluigibelotti8446 applicato alla musica è stato inventato in Germania e Beethoven è stato uno dei primi ad utilizzarlo. In Italia è arrivato molto tardi il metronomo, i belcantisti non lo amavano molto e solo Verdi( che era un maniaco della precisione) ha iniziato ad usarlo sistematicamente nelle sue opere.

As long as the body movement does not interfere the production of the music, it should not be a problem. It is just not preference.

Se il risultato porta a suonare come il Maestro Carbonare...sicuramente si.😊 Uno dei più grandi Clarinettisti in assoluto. Bello vederlo insegnare , penso ad alcuni mediocri e cupi insegnanti di Conservatorio che 30 anni fa avevo incontrato nel mio percorso di studi...

@@carlomereta2065 , perché “ vive” il Clarinetto come se fosse una parte del corpo. A Carbonare lo possiamo permettere. A modesti clarinettisti come lo scrivente...no😊😊😊 Diciamo che anche l’Allievo dovrebbe muoversi un po’ meno. Sarebbe più efficace il suo Talento a livello visivo.

Stefano has solid technical skill, Carbonare adds singing the phrases in the operatic style makes all the difference. Note that thumb rest and low F extension bulk/weight kills the resonance on that Clarinet. Use a neck strap instead. Just a suggestion.

Je né suis qu’un musicien avec une rapidité très limitée à la clarinette mais je trouve qu’en utilisant une double embouchure spécifiquement avec les lèvres supérieures et inférieures couvrant l’extrémité du bec, je peux commencer à faire sonner les notes les plus basses et aussi les plus aigües du registre tout à fait pianissimo, avec une force presque inexistante de la langue. Stefano en remplissant bien ses poumons du diaphragme contrôlant la force de l’air sait parfaitement contrôler le volume des phrases et de cette manière exprimer l’emotion qu’il cherche a communiquer a son publique. Son élève ne pouvait pas éviter un son grinçant lorsqu’il piquait staccato les notes les plus aiguës des arpèges. Humblement je voulais lui présenter ma suggestion pour l’éviter.

Le clarinettiste français joue plutôt bien. Quelque chose de plus contraste pianísimo forte et améliorerait beaucoup. Bonnes indications de Carbonare.

Che sappia io i pianoforti si accordano a 445 hz non so perché! Ma con i legni ci son problemi...forse ora che si usa 442 hz per il clarinetto, dovrebbe crescere quando è caldo. Probabilmente il probema è dovuto a fattori climatici di una stanza non facilmente controllabile.

Carbonare will interpret it this way, Meyer in another way, Frost in yet another and so on ... he must find his way, his interpretative way .. Carbonare is not the absolute verb even if great clarinetist ... meditate people ... meditate ... The master, at the beginning, serves to learn the clarinet but to interpret our inner musical sound, our personality and develop it, to bring out what we have inside ... and it is not what Carbonare, in this case, or others tell us to do or play ... .... to listen we already have the CDs with the great clarinetists that we can emulate ... I understand the business but to everything there is a limit ... svegliaaaa! think people think ....

Learn from a master and then you might become a master. A master finds his own way but he travels to a high place on a road paved by other masters before he begins. If you want to just explore and have fun lower on the mountain, that's ok too but that's not what this student is after.

I think the reason why we do this is to see another's point of view. It is like conversing with a person about a controversial topic, for example, some people call Valentin Uryupil's version the best version whereas others prefer Marin Frost's version and others, like yourself and I, prefer approaches of our own. I personally like seeing another's point of view. For example, in variation 2, I prefer piano, then forte, yet he does forte, then piano, and Stephen Quaranta may prefer other than what Carbonare prefers, but he will still try it because he is accepting Carbonare as a guide. Basically it's like looking at different guides that are telling you to which political party to be a part of, so you entertain the others' ideology to find out what they prefer and which aspects you love and which you don't. I hope this helps you understand the purpose of master classes, which are definitely not for everyone, but I do believe that everyone can benefit from it.

grandissimo Carbonare.... però non capisco perchè bisogna suonare Rossini come vuole lui...ognuno è libero di interpretare come sente i brani. Carbonare l'interpreterà così, Meyer in un altro modo, Frost in un altro ancora e così via... Questi corsi non aiutano a emergere le individualità ma soprattutto ne le personalità diverse dei vari musicisti, in questo caso dei clarinettisti... ognuno deve trovare la sua via, la sua strada interpretativa.. Carbonare non è il verbo assoluto anche se grande clarinettista... meditate gente..meditate... Non sono d'accordo, le indicazioni di Carbonare sono universali e praticamente senza tempo, le darebbero identiche tutti i clarinettisti più bravi al mondo. La difficoltà, per come la vedo io, è proprio quello di perpetrare la tradizione ovvero riuscire a suonarla e riproporla anche tra 200 anni in questo modo. La letteratura del clarinetto dalla sua nascita e fino alla metà del 900 bisogna riprodurla così come è scritta.Questo è ovviamente un mio parere.

@@buffetosca addirittura universali....ma se altri clarinettisti la suonano completamente diversa..!! E poi quelle cose non sono scritte in partiture, questo fa parte dell'interpretazione del singolo musicista...così suoneremmo tutti uguali! . comunque va bene lo stesso... ciao neh!!

Assolutamente d'accordo con te amico. Ricordo che una delle cose che mi facevano girare le scatole a 360 gradi quando studiavo al Conservatorio era il fatto che tutti i miei colleghi pensavano solo a fare corsi a destra e sinistra dove imparavano ad eseguire minuziosamente secondo il pensiero di altri. Non esiste un solo clarinettista uguale ad un altro al mondo. Il Conservatorio serve ad insegnare ad eseguire in modo fedele le partiture. Le sfumature sono un'altra cosa che dipendono dallo stile personale di ognuno di noi, basta non uscire dalle partiture ovviamente e non è necessario frequentare masterclass di 100 maestri che la pensano in 100 modi diversi. Con questo non intendo demonizzare i grandi come Carbonare, è giusto imparare da tutti, ma farne il Vangelo è altra cosa. Per esempio non sono assolutamente ďaccordo sulla velocità spericolata con cui suona la seconda variazione. In quel modo si perde il fraseggio, ľespressione, la bellezza del pezzo,ma non solo. Suonare a quella inutile velocità aumenta a dismisura il rischio di fare errori in una esecuzione pubblica. Per la velocità bisogna avere pezzi scritti apposta che tengano conto della tecnica del clarinetto in modo estremamente dettagliato e Rossini non era un clarinettista. Se no è come voler correre con una Ferrari su uno sterrato, quando sarebbe necessaria una pista da corsa.

Le Masterclass servono solo per prendere contatti , nulla di più ! Inoltre , qui essendo davanti alla telecamera , fa l'educato e si trattiene ma ho amici che ci hanno studiato e li tratta malissimo a lezione , peggio delle bestie e , in buona parte dei casi , gli dice di imitarlo senza far sviluppare la personalità dell'allievo . Sicuramente è un fantastico clarinettista ma non sono sicuro sia anche un grande insegnante , o almeno , non lo è per tutti , di fatti sono pochi gli ellievi che hanno fatto una vera carriera concertistica di livello .
