Your ControlNet Model is not SDXL. That’s also because your Checkpoint isn’t SDXL. Not an SDXL outpainting example! 😁

Looks like I found a method - I selected an SDXL checkpoint (not an inpainting one - still worked). Then, choose ‘inpaint_only+lama’ just as you had done. After that, Select ‘ip-adapter_xl’ as your ControlNet Model. Worked for me after a few generations.

Yes I'm pretty sure I point that out that through the steps I start with an sdxl model to generate the initial image, and then switch to a 1.5 for doing the out painting and in painting. So you're right it's not true sdxl out painting.

That's good to know I didn't know about the IP-adapter _ XL controlnet model. I downloaded it and messed with it for a little while and yes the seam is not as bad. But the problem I'm running into now is that the imagery that it generates outside the image feels a lot more chaotic and doesn't match up with the primary image. I tried several times to get it to give me something that would recognizably fit the image. And I am using the original sdxl checkpoint that I used to generate the image. I may need to play around with a little bit more, but I'm going to hold what I said in that the outpaint MK2

Also one of the other things I really like about the outpaint MK2 method is that you're not limited and how wide you can go or how tall you can go. With the control net method you're limited to the ultimate maximum size you can slide the slider bar to.

@@AIchemywithXerophayze-jt1gg I had my denoise set to 1 and that’s when it started giving me good results. Something like 0.85 was surprisingly unsatisfactory. Play around with the CFG scale too. I noticed a “sweet spot” for each model. The results were outstanding.

whatever i do its not adding to picture it redesign to copletly different picture any toghts whats happening?

Not exactly sure, make sure you're using an inpainting model that can at least match the style of the original model used to generate the original image.
