Hey Rich! I'm sorry my friend, I've been extremely busy the last few months. If you still need an electric eraser, I'll reply to your email soon. I appreciate your support, but please don't hesitate to order something you need if you're only waiting on a response from me. I hope you're doing better my friend!

Great video! Thanks for your sharing. What is the impact of paints and surfaces? The Createx is designed to be easier to remove in the first 24 hours. How about other paints? Another point is the surface, can we apply the erase technique on the copy paper or the watercolor paper? My understanding is synthetic paper is very suitable for erasing. If we want to use this erase tech on canvas, do we need to apply multiple layers of Gesso to get a very smooth surface?

I can't speak to whether or not other paint brands will erase easily. I've only used these techniques with Createx and Com-Art paints and both of those brands respond to erasing techniques very well. Based on my experience, you can erase on most surfaces. Care has to be taken when working over thin papers like copy paper because you can erase through the paper relatively easily if you get too aggressive. Synthetic paper is very suitable for erasing techniques; however, it is not required. Some prefer synthetic paper. I prefer working over traditional papers. I would recommend trying these techniques on a variety of different surfaces in order to find what works best for you. You can absolutely use erasing techniques on canvas too. I personally prefer applying multiple layers of Gesso in order to get a very smooth surface prior to painting, but that is not required either. The caveat to that is you will see the texture in the canvas when you erase paint over it. Sometimes that adds to the effect. Sometimes it detracts from it.

sir can i use it on normal heavy weight drawing sheet because thats what i have been practing and painting on .. i get it to erase you need base material like gessoed canvas or metal panel , but i was wondering that can i first varnish the drawing sheet and then paint on it and i think then the electric eraser and stuff like damaged ab needles to pull out highlights might work ??
@wickedartstudio8 ай бұрын
Yes, you can absolutely use erasing techniques on paper. I do it frequently. A canvas with Gesso or a metal panel is not required for any of this. You do have to exercise caution when using thin papers because it's not difficult to erase a hole completely through the paper if you get too aggressive, but you can get great results using these techniques on normal heavy weight drawing papers.

@@wickedartstudio thanks alot for trying .. atleast i can now try it on paper .. before i was thinking there is no point in trying on paper rather than metal panel or canvas . thank you sir

I can't find any "hard" erasers for my afmat electric eraser that you describe. Do you have a resource?
@wickedartstudio6 күн бұрын
They are getting harder and harder to find. Try searching for "ink" refills. Here's a link where I found some recently www.dickblick.com/items/derwent-usb-rechargeable-eraser-refills-pkg-of-30/?clicktracking=true&wmcp=pla&wmcid=items&wmckw=21081-1002&country=us¤cy=usd&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzva1BhD3ARIsADQuPnWgBFSYvynPvi-vvktyKh6Qh4gVlFH9zU2styFzhx2m3c6NyGe9W-QaAiFmEALw_wcB
