So i know a little bit of collectd: So collectd is a system statistics collection daemon and a daemon is a computer program that runs in the background. It collects various statistics from your system and converts it for the network use. The Collectd statistics window shows counts for values, which split into type, plugin, and host as well as total packets counter.

Not entirely. It gives transit times but doesn't show network card misconfigurations, a database on a failing Harddrive, etc...
