Ariana and The weeknd are really top tier singers, and this duet is one of the bests if the best, this year, in my opinion. But, Andy also you are one the best "voice teachers reactions" out there. love hearing your reactions! TNX

Authentically themselves? How exactly? Are you referring to how the stage had just them and their vocals along with the track, the way they just sang and danced a little? It was refreshing, it wouldn't fit to have dancers and props.

I am 54 and the weeknd is so talented . What he also gives me is a 80’s vibe with the synthesiser backing . I love love love his music. A superstar song , add in arianna grande and it goes to another level 💕🎶🎹🎤

I completely agree Donna. We are about the same age and the Weeknd has grown on me. I wasn't a big fan of him years ago but his voice and style has really won me over. His voice has also gotten fuller and just sounds better

I'm 50 & Weeknd's music takes me right back to OP corduroy shorts & feathered hair cuts...... beautiful observation........ & I agree w/ Divine too - Weeknd's voice has really grown - much more weight & stability - he's a real master of his craft now..... & what can you say about Grande that hasn't already been said - a real life prodigy.... Ariana Grande has grown alot as a vocalist. I think she sounds her best right now, she's improved on a ton. I love her use of that lower tone. I hope her whistle notes continue to improve, I liked them but they're still so airy. I prefer a Mariah Carey type note where it's clear instead of feeling more like a falsetto. But everyone's voice is different. I haven't come across another Mariah, she definitely owns those notes.

i have heard ariana do clearer whistle notes that resemble more of a mariah note before. i’m sure you can find her doing them on youtube somewhere, but her style of singing is naturally airy. if you watch her recent POV live performance, it’s super airy, but that’s her style, that’s how she sings. i don’t think that because she chooses to whistle in more of an airy sound means that she hasn’t improved or that they’re any lesser, that’s just how she likes to sing. i think it suits her personally

I like how Abel's delivery of this has taken on new dimensions and gotten even more confident since January and he's now playing with the vocals a bit. Suffice it to say, Tears is officially my song of 2021. It both makes me happy and sad for the emotions I've felt that he talks about in the song. I really identify with it. Barely a day has gone by since January that I haven't listened to it.

She can sound like any singer spot on….she does that on Jimmy Fallon Late Night, he bakes a song & she sings 4bars. She has an amazing voice. Abel….WOW!
