i have the pleasure of being this man's granddaughter, ill speak from family anecdotes in saying that in his first years, my grandfather's voice was a work in progress, he wanted to imitate jorge negrete(his idol and eventual fellow acting partner), so he would attempt to sing high pitched and aim for a similar projection, but people could tell what he was trying to do. composer manuel esperón came into his life and became his vocal coach, saying "jorge is a trained opera singer, so of course he can sing to a girl on the 8th story of a building and succeed, but you, however, struggle. instead of being the singer aiming for the 8th story, why don't you become the opposite? sing next to her, serenade her in her ears like if you were whispering the song, and chances are you may even sneak in a kiss in the end😂 and the rest is history..

Yes, velvet, that is the word I have always used to describe his voice. Considering that he didn't have formal musical nor theatrical education, he was pure talent in both music and acting. Some years ago he was named the most important Mexican to date, over Independence heroes and former Presidents.

He did not died , in that time, it was a showed, for the government, he died at age around 93-94 , right now , they still , investigate what happened. It was one of the president in that time who made him forced to despair Miguel Aleman was the president who did it.

Hello Andy! Thank you for reacting to "100 años" it's my favorite song of Pedro Infante. He's an iconic singer in Mexico, he passed away at 1957 but he still strongly stay in mexican culture and our hearts too. He filmed 60 movies and records 314 songs. An anecdot, he never drinked alcohol, but in a lot of his movies he acted convincently as a very drunk man. He alway was in shape, was very atractive and got a lot female atention.

Pedro Infante is a true Mexican treasure. He passed away long before I was born, but I grew up listening to his music and I had the biggest crush on him when I was a kid. Pedro Infante, José José, and Luis Miguel are my absolute favorite singers. Thank you for appreciating their music.

It's wonderful how you analyze such a wide spectrum of music. Even the great performers of the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema. Pedro Infante was of my parents' generation but I recognize he had such charm and talent like no other, a natural-born star. Both film and actors in Mexico during the Golden Age of Cinema were incomparable to what exists today. We miss it. Thank you Andy! :)

That’s why Pedro Infante is the Latinoamérica Idol, he was dead almost 63 years ago and million of people still love him, he is one of the artist in the world who was both an excellent actor and and excellent singer.
