In this video Wiggy G tests out the game based around the hit tv cartoon series of He-Man, published by Midas and developed by Savage Entertainment. Fully titled Masters of the Universe: He-Man: Defender of Greyskull, this has to be a candidate for the longest named PS2 game ever.
The game itself throws you into a 3d environment which can be troublesome to navigate through at times. The graphics are decent enough, but levels seem empty, leaving you to wonder round endlessly looking for a way forward.
We were both looking forward to playing a game based upon a hero from our childhood memories, but this effort from Midas Games is unfortunately what youd expect to come from Midas Games.
I dont want to sound too offputting, the game wasnt a terrible experience, and rpg fans may have some enjoyment from this game, but i think a lot of our dissapointment came from the anticipation of playing as a cartoon legend.
We will probably return to this game to see if it offers anything more in later levels. Apparently in later levels you can ride on the back of battlecat, so that will be interesting to see.
