I played the Cowardly Lion in the Wiz for a theater company in 1997. It was honestly the most uplifted experience I ever had. It was a pour license to play. We had a moment in the during this song where Dorothy and the Lion share one finally moment to symbols their friendship before the lion fades the final show I was crying on stage because it was so moving.

She has such a beautiful Voice..

She has such an amazing voice and the skills and runs she can perform are incredible! I especially love the power behind her voice too. For me though, Diana Ross set the bar so high. I don't think I could ever repeat the emotional state she put me in when I first saw that live performance of her singing it. No one since has been able to make me feel as homesick. :>
