The music was composed by Snehal Bhatkar, who unable to use Lata Mangeshkar's voice as she was 'busy', Bhatkar turned to Mubarak Begum for the famous title song "Hamari Yaad Aayegi", which had lyrics by Kidar Sharma. This song and the music of the film gave lasting recognition to Bhatkar.

It is a sad number from the film Hamari Yaad Aayegi. The film was directed by Kedar Nath Sharma in the year 1961. Lyricist of this song is also Kedar Nath Sharma. It is picturised on Anand Kumar {son of kedar nath sharma}

And whats this loneliness or akelapan or tanhai about? Each and everyone on this planet has to experience this feeling at some point of time or the other. This element called loneliness is also the state of ones mind, which is born due to various reasons - known and unknown.
Hamari Yaad Aayegi (You Will Remember Me) is a 1961 Hindi romantic drama film, written and directed by Kidar Sharma.Produced under the banner of Show People, the director of photography was D. C. Mehta.The music was composed by Snehal Bhatkar with lyrics by Kidar Sharma.The film had the well-known title song "Kabhi Tanhaiyon Mein Hamari Yaad Aayegi", sung by Mubarak Begum. The film featured the director's son Ashok Sharma in the main role along with Tanuja, Anant Kumar, Madhavi, Sujata and Rajinder Dube.
The film involves a young man Ashok, newly relocated to a city, staying in rented accommodation owned by a young widow. He befriends an orphan girl Manorama and her brother Bulva. The story follows the heartbreak Manorama causes Ashok due to her love for money.
Plot.......
Ashok (Ashok Sharma) gets a job in Udaipur and finds accommodation at a young widow Hari Devi's (Madhavi) house. Hari Devi had insisted on renting out to married people and Ashok pretends he has a family consisting of a wife and four kids. Seeing how Hari isolates herself with strictness and rigid formality, Ashok tries to draw her out and tells her of his parents and four brothers who were killed in the Partition riots. He also tells her he had lied about his marital status and that he will leave the house. However, the young widow allows him to stay. Ashok is sent on a business trip to a small place thirty miles away. At a fair, he meets the young Manorama, called Mano (Tanuja) and her brother Bulva, who are being chased by the police for stealing trinkets. They tell Ashok that they are orphans who were forced to beg, but now make their earning as singers. Mano adds that though she's poor she's fond of jewellery and fancy clothes. Hari Devi's in-laws send a message asking her to get Ashok to leave as it casts aspersions on the young widow staying alone with a single man. Hari Devi decides to go to her mother-in-law's place in Ajmer instead, in spite of knowing that she will be treated badly there.
Manorama enters Ashok's life again as a thief. He instead employs her to cook for him and stay with the other house help. He also takes on the onus of educating Mano and her brother. Ashok and Mano grow to like each other. When Ashok's boss visits the house, he gets interested in Mano and she goes away with him, attracted by the wealth. Ashok's health deteriorates when he gets pneumonia and Hari Devi comes back to nurse him. On hearing this, an infuriated Mano rushes to the house, but Ashok dies of his illness, leaving Mano desolate.

मुबारक बेगम ने गाया है सुंदर । ऐसा सुना है की ,समयपर लतादीदी उपलब्ध न होने से ये गाना डब आवाजमे रेकार्ड करने का फैसला हुआ ,जोकी मुबारक बेगम से गवाया गया । उसीकी आवाज प्रोड्युसर और दिग्दर्शक ( निर्देशक ) को पसंद आनेपर गीत मुबारक की आवाजमे पिक्चरमे दिया गया । मुबारक की आवाजही इस गानेके लिये फिट है । याद रखनेवाली बात यह है की इस पिक्चरका संगीत मराठी संगीतकार श्री .स्नेहल भाटकरजी ने दिया था । जनताने इस गानेको बहुत पसंद किया ।

महान गायिका मरहूम मुबारक बेगम को शत-शत नमन। बड़े दुख से कहना पड़ रहा है कि बुढ़ापे में मुबारक बेगम को बड़ी मुफलिसी का सामना करना पड़ा और फिल्मी दुनियां ने उसकी कोई मदद नहीं की। ईश्वर यह दिन किसी को ना दिखाना।

Some how Mubarak Begum's clip passed to me, then I started to dig out about her first from Tabassum's talkies, and listening this solo song 'Kabhi tanhayain mein....first time. Since 4 PM till 10pm continue playing song, it's amazing and sweet, voice was gifted by God to Mubarak Begum, watched her Interview also, She never ever valued money rather than singing from heart, and survived in miserable life at her last Era, RIP 🙏

70 साल उम्र हो गई मेरी जब हाईस्कूल कक्षा नौ का छात्र था तब रेडियो सीलोन पर सुना था। दुर्भाग्यवश जीवन में कुछ ऐसा घटित हुआ कि जब भी सुनता हूं तो आंखें आंसुओं से भर जाती है।नाती पोते पोतियां पूछतीं है तो आंखों में परेशानी का बहाना बना देता हूं। अब तो कोई हमदर्द न रहा न हमराज़। अकेले अपने गुनाहों की सजा भुगत रहा हूं 😢

Today I read that Mubarak Begum has passed away. Felt like listening to this song so reached this video. What a gem she has left for us. My definite top ten songs . As mentioned in the description, it lifts us to some different plane. Thanks for posting. If I had known about her poor financial state, would have definitely contributed. May God rest her soul in peace.

मुबारक बेगम साहिबा आवाज़ वह कषक है, जिसे सुनने वाले शब्दो ओर उसकी लयता मे दिल को खोकर शब्दो की गहराईयाो मे समा जाते है। सच कहे तो दिल कहता इनके गीत दिल के हर तार को छू आत्मीय अनुभूती देते है।

Great song , haunting the music lovers for the last several decades. Great lyrics of Kidarsharma. Mubarak Begum one of the great singers of golden era. But unfortunately her voice was used for very few songs. Yet the songs are immortal.

It is believable that such a immortal song was composed in a haste. If it is true then Snehalji Bhatkar is really a Genius. Hats of to him as his composed song gave an identity to Mubarak Begaum, who sung the song with her soul in it.
