Hoff is a legend, everyone knows that. In his own life time too, he has had legendary status for quite a while. It's very rare for any individual to reach legendary status while they are still alive. He is a great inspiration, not just for his riding but everything else he has accomplished as well. What got me is when he said he'd like to die picking a flower. For a guy who built his career on doing some of the gnarliest things in the world, a guy that has surgery without being asleep, he said he'd like to go doing something as delicate as picking a flower. That was heavy, poignant even. Says alot about the man. Inside that tough guy, mad max, gnarly dude, he's a real delicate soul.

How’s the one guy skidding like that with mags?! The problem with that, mags are plastic, bicycle brakes work by using friction to slow the bike’s wheel. On a plastic mag wheel, the friction from the brake pad causes the surface of the wheel to wear increasingly more & more smooth (which decreases friction proportional after every time the brakes are used)… I grew up riding a Dyno Air from 1996 with 3-spoke GT mag wheels & red Primo V-Monster tires…that bike did not skid & it did not lock the brakes for flatland tricks…
