Ok so I know this was uploaded 4 years ago, but I know what the Scotland Yard and skeleton keys are useful for. You can use them to throw people off the track. So if you ended up with a useless clue you can lock the door so the opponents will waste time going there assuming that you locked the door because it’s an important clue.

What? Awesome! A couple years back I read all the original Holmes stories it was in a 1050 page tome. Keep up the great work Matt!

wow that's cool how there are so many cases to solve in this game. good review Matt! seems like it would be a little pricy of a game tho, (high end) fun nonetheless tho!

I just got the older version with 20 cases.I was skeptical about buying because of the "riddle" clues but its not too hard to understand. It does take work to play like writing clues etc but its a very fun mature version of Clue.

"Mature Version of Clue" that's a good way to describe it. I'm not a fan of Clue but I do enjoy this one. Thanks for the comment!

I have the original version and 221b baker st the time machine. Did they add new case cards from the original or did they put in all the expansions together? Because in the original it only had 20 cases and each expansion had another 20!
@MichaelRBrown-lh6kn6 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Scarbrough this one has 200 cases. The original and expansions comprise 180 cases, so this one adds 20 new cases.

Ok, good review, but I'm really curious if any of the cases and clues are taken straight from the stories or not...??
@kidcardco3 жыл бұрын
No. They aren't from any of the stories you've read and would know the answers too. As a big Sherlock Holmes fan, I think that's fair to the other players. : )

Good game, good review. I have bought separately most of the case booklets, and they are not equal in quality. Some sets of cases consist almost entirely of the (to me) real clues. In style: If U suspect that it was a case of poisoning, U go to pharmacy, and get a clue: "Mr. Smith was seen visiting a pharmacy the day before the murder". While some sets have mainly those trivial "crossword-puzzle" -like clues (which I hate).

Agreed. Some cases are grounded in clues while others are cheesy laughy taffy jokes.

Can you memorize each case? Or does each case play out like a mini-game of clue?
@kidcardco4 жыл бұрын
With so many cases? I doubt it. Unless you're playing at every moment of every day and even then we're talkin like 200 cases! That's some memory!
@TrapsetJiuJitsu4 жыл бұрын
Matt wilkins Well, let me ask differently - does each case only have one solution? In comparison, Clue is essentially one case with many solutions.
@kidcardco4 жыл бұрын
@@TrapsetJiuJitsu yes. But to be honest if you play 200 games I don't think you could remember them all. To be honest, I don't even remember who the killer was and why from the first 6 games we played last year.

Matt wilkins Awesome. It sounds like it has good replay value. Great review... many thanks!!!
