Hi Helen - glad you had a good holiday in Ireland. When my children were young we spent many a happy holiday in our touring caravan in Kinsale which is really beautiful. As the family got older they were more keen to go abroad and so caravan was sold. My husband was always keen to get another caravan just for the two of us when we retired but sadly he took a stroke and died. I just wish I had gone ahead and bought it because it would have made him so happy. You never know what is around the corner. I am from Northern Ireland and perhaps if you are in Ireland again you will visit the North as there are some nice spots there with lovely scenery. Eliz

So glad you had a great holiday with your family and your mum got to reconnect with her cousins. Lots of blue skies in the photos. 😊 My good news is my house sold today TG, as my offer on a little cottage in Ireland was accepted 3.5 weeks ago so I've been holding my breath waiting for a buyer for my house in London so I can move back home after 40 years. What a relief, now I can finally make plans and hopefully start packing up soon to have a fresh start by the sea.

Welcome back Helen good to see you again and hear about your holiday. I must say your look very refreshed it is good to have a change of scenery and company too. What a shame about your heart on your bracelet I lost mine in the park while dog walking a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. I re traced my steps but to no avail😩 It was one of my favourites so I went on line and got another like new from eBay. The original one was from Q.V.C and it also had a large heart hanging down. Now I have another so I’m happy again 🥰 it’s amazing how attached you become to them. Xx

Great to hear all your family had a lovely holiday. Precious memories with your mum she is amazing for her age. My mother is 93 but unfortunately she is quite frail now and doesn’t go out much now. Love the black and white blouse definitely a keeper. Thanks for showing us. Xxxxx

Glad you’ve had a lovely break with your family and it nice to see you back. I agree with you about Marks, I think their standards have definitely slipped they don’t even present their clothes in the stores smartly anymore, dirty marks on them and some items look as if they’ve been slept in (not ironed). I used to work for them many moons ago and it makes me sad to see. 😊

Nice to have you back Helen. It sounded like a lovely time in Ireland making happy memories. We are currently in Sicily and I must say we had issues with special assistance here. I was not allowed to push my husband in a wheel chair from the plane and as previously we had to wait over an hour for assistance in Gatwick last month we just wanted to get to our car hire etc. it’s sucks when you can’t get about so easily. Now I’m rambling lol. Love the clothes. You have a lovely figure and suit so many styles. Love the dress with the tummy hiding feature. Also the gillet. Xx

I’ve not long returned from a round Ireland road trip and I totally agree with you about Ireland and how lovely the people are - even other road users! Such lovely memories for you and your family. I must say when you do your hauls and say to the camera “can you see that” I’ve found myself saying yes 😂. Great to have you back

So glad you managed to get to Ireland with your mum. It’s not easy when there is some one with mobility issues. It’s lovely to hear you had a lovely time. As a person who is wheelchair bound I will only travel now from East Midlands Airport. I have been abroad to lots of places and they need to come over here and teach our special assistants in our airports. The people in East Midlands are great.

So pleased you all enjoyed yourselves on holiday, I would think that your Mum will be so shattered for a few days, I know at my age I get worn out from travelling, especially the visiting and constantly talking side of a holiday. I bet it must have been very special for your Mum to have all her children in one place all together for a few days. Thank you so much for the Ireland round up but what I wanted to know was what you wore, what didn't you wear due to weather, what you needed and didn't pack and what you should have left at home! I will be packing for a cruise in February and packing videos really help me whittle down my packing list to a reasonable length. So glad that your Mum managed the trip well. I am not surprised that the poor woman was exhausted. I liked the clothes!

Great chat! I agree about trying on things..I saw the black and white cotton dress from marks in the shop and thought that won’t suit me and tried it on and loved it. ! Just a hint, if you use the showers on any campsite you use, a bag for the shower is easier if you have a handle to hang it up in case there is not a shelf/bench to put it on! Happy camping!

I agree about the bad weather when you are camping . There is nothing worse than a wet dog, and staring out of the window looking out at the rain. I've been there and done it . Love the gilet 😊

Hi Helen, Great to have you back and super that you all enjoyed your Irish holiday and stayed at some lovely places. Don’t change your format as it is like spending time with a friend just chatting about anything and everything. The Gilet is now sold out in a 14/16/18. I have ordered the black and white blouse from Matalan as you looked lovely wearing it and just love how you explain all the details of the garments that you show us. I have searched high and low for the gorgeous b&w tunic you wore last yr when taking the cheeseboard to your friend…you told me you thought it was H&M but alas cannot find it.😢🏴

Meant to also say…..yes, keep trying if there is a particular item you really want. I ordered a field jacket from Joules in a sale (only way I was going to afford it) and was so excited when it arrived. But…it was too big and I had to return. Alas the smaller size was not available. I was mortified and even rang Joules direct who gave me sound advice to check the listings several times a day. I was a woman on a mission but sobbing onto my laptop! The gods looked down on me and I struck lucky after about ten days. Someone, bless them, must have returned the correct size and that jacket became mine! Happy days! Xx Liz

I ordered the magnesium tablets that you recommended and have started taking them. I am having so much trouble with my tummy and am now having tests to try and see what the problem, I have IBS but this is much worse than I usually have. Hope your first caravan trip goes well. I will, thank you. I still haven't had one IBS episode since I started the tablets, maybe a coincidence but I am surprised that I was okay on holiday too when I was eating quite a lot of rich food. I hope they find out what your 'trigger' is. xx

Welcome back Helen, we missed you. Delighted to hear that Ireland was a successful trip. It must have been wonderful that your Mum could enjoy herself with her cousins and you all. If you ever decide to return give the West of Ireland, particularly Connemara a visit,also Counties Mayo and Donegal. All are spectacular. Your holiday sounds fab! So glad to hear you and your family had such a great time. Like the striped ribbed dress Helen and I just adore the khaki gilet! Definitely going to order one of your bags…lots of room for me to carry around even more **** than usual if that’s at all possible. 😆 Re. you returning to “chez Helen” if it’s really rainy when you go away with Bertha ; I know exactly what you mean, but a night in a caravan with the rain battering down outside could quite atmospheric and potentially romantic! 😜 Can’t beat home comforts though, you’re quite right. Love the b/w blouse Helen,and the gilet,we don’t have them here,though a few years ago the hip length ones were in the stores,I bought 2 but only wore one once,it always seems either too hot,or too cold for them,in winter you need sleeves.Maybe they are okay for the Southern States,that never get too cold,or places where you drive everywhere,but in the big East Coast cities we walk a lot, so you need long down coats,at least us older folk do.Good to hear you had a lovely time in beautiful Ireland,and though I’m 13 years younger than your Mom,I know that after,going places,I end up sleeping for most of the day when I get back.😊

Hi Helen absolutely agree with you regarding customer service at M&S and Next - in fact I have said to a few retailers including Marks how good the service is from Next and also how easy it is to return items when ordered on-line 😊
