You'd be surprised with the number of no lifers who cling to "muh immersion" and get mad when Vtubers talk and act like normal humans about this kind of thing. I've seen people talking about how they will not allow "western" disrespect to ruin "MY community that I BUILT", true cringe lords.

Yeah, I agree. It's a little frustrating that the overwhelming majority of vtubers with a past life will not admit they've streamed prior. The only exceptions I can think of are Doki saying she came back from a years-long break (as she was Doki prior to being Selen) as well as Mint, who was in a similar situation. But, even then, they aren't acknowledging their time as a corporate vtuber. Or: how many people know FuwaMoco have been twin vtubers in their past lives? (Though this is likely Hololive not permitting it, not necessarily them wanting to keep it secret.) The only vtuber I know who openly admits to (and talks about) being a corporate vtuber before is Reiyu Guigui, and even then, the only thing she says is it was a traumatizing experience and she hated it. On a funnier note, kson accidentally called Henya Pikamee in their first vshojo collab, which was an indirect acknowledgment. Matara called herself "fox mom" in her vshojo debut before quickly correcting it to "roach mom." Mika's nail was in Michi's lore video (as well as the narrative talking about her having a bad past life and waking up in a different body, which was meta asf), which I imagine was as direct as Michi is ever going to get about it.
