Hannahs 5.0L V8 Mustang sounds tame from stock, huge silencers and back boxes restrict the sound. We bought a Remus Cat back exhaust along with a Pipercross panel filter to hopefully improve the sound! The results speak for themselves

I like her too. It makes a change having a girl on a KZfaq channel who is into cars . There's Queen B and that's about it but even she doesn't do stuff herself to her cars whereas Hannah gets on with each job.

Just seen the video she sounds spot on now Hannah just gets stuck in learning as she goes which is great and is very modest and does not try to make herself look good and show off because she has a nice car as comment below she is an asset to the channel.

Loved the vid MAtt. I think having Hannah and Kevin in part of it is a lovely touch. I love Kevin. I wonder why there isn't an X-pipe in the V8 exhaust from the factory after the down pipes. That used to be standard practice. Plus I recon if you had deleted the back boxes in the original exhaust and kept the middle silencer, you'd have got the same result. Why don't you try it to prove me wrong / right. See, I love this vid xxxx

I know this video is really old now, but the same generation 5.0 mustangs in America sound great right from the factory. Bone stock sounds similar to the after market you installed. I think it’s the UK laws that muted it.

If I had to guess, the reason the Mustang (and just about every other V8) is on the quiet side is California (and other select jurisdictions). Ford obviously sells a lot of Mustangs in California which has a strict exhaust decibel law. Your exhaust cannot exceed 95 decibels at 3000-5000rpm from 50cm away from the exhaust tip.

88dB(A) stock, 108dB(A) with Remus fitted, a 20dB(A) increase. Every 10dB increase in noise level represents a 10 fold increase in sound energy so the Remus exhaust is x10 then x10 again louder i.e 100 times louder than stock. Wee bit louder then!

Perfect choice to get the Remus exhaust system. Great noise by the way. Why is the circular logo Mustang not at the back the car? It would look a lot better with the logo on than to leave a empty space.

A set of high flow cats would give you more noise and a little more power. I think that would make it sound bang on, not that it doesn't sound great now!
