Hey mat, see on the umbrella when you press the button it doesn't really fly out, it's because the holder the umbrella slides Into isn't fitted correctly, if you remove the long black part what the umbrella fits too you'll see the end of it has a point, if you shine a torch in the wing with this out you'll see a rubber grommet that the point fits into, then the umbrella will come out a lot further when you press the button, hope you see this mate love the vids🤙

It´s really impressive to see you tackle this big of a project! Though it´s crazy to see some of Mansory´s hackjob solutions. Also PLEASE wear a facemask, glasses and protective clothing when cutting carbon fiber. The fibers are tiny and easy to inhale and embed themselves in the linings of your lungs. They can cause all kinds of irritation and are suspected to be a catalyst for lung cancer.

@@timmymallett1 we had the same connectors in tough industrial equipments. No solders, cause they would break. (but we also had that rubbery shrink thing over it (sorry do not know the english word lol, but you heat it up, and it shrinks around the connector, and was like glue also to prevent moist to reach the connector)

@@AndrewTSq heat shrink tubing. plenty of higher rated connectors available though. it's not that that common for solder to break tho either, much less so if the joint itself isn't being flexed(like inside of a higher spec connector, like, there's plenty of solder joints on a cars wiring they're not just on free flinging wires.)

I once also worked for a airplane company where we was learned to solder for a quality good enough for airplanes. I do not remember anything about that (25 years ago :) , but ai remember something was special about how to connect the 2 wires before using solder. and I also never had to solder anything while working there so not much memory left of that.

Yeah, it's daylight robbery what they're charging for these cars. The interior and carbon fiber and suspension just isn't worth the price imo. Other than the fact you can't get it anywhere else... or maybe it's the amount of tiger seal they have to use.

Took apart my first car, 1972 TR6 42 years ago. It took 1 year to completely restore everything. Hadn't touched a vehicle in 42-years. But after watching Matt's channel for a year,I now change oil, plugs, filters, change tires...It's not much, but cause of Matt and gang, I'm confident to tackle a few things...👍

I did an MR2 MK3 up a few years ago, which is where I cut my mechanical teeth. Have done routine service items and the occasional repair since but nothing too major (other than an interior strip down on a Mini to change a blower fan). But watching channels like Mat and Dean (Saving Salvage) has given me the courage to take on my Dad's old A3. Hopefully not walking into a disaster 😂

I can see a cease and desist coming from Mansory after this episode 😂 seems like the extra £300k for a Mansory kit is £100k for parts, £100k labour and £100k for tiger seal

That's 100k parts purchase price, reality is if they're selling things for that much they're spending half that or less on making it. My view of the cost breakdown would be 60k parts maybe, probably the same for labour and the remaining 230k would go towards increasing the size of Mr Mansory's wallet.

Remember no smart driver ever stops learning and some extra lessons like sessions on the skid pad and some track day time will hone your skills.
