Matchbox restoration 8 Wheel Crane Truck nr 30 diecast car

The crane truck model produced by Lesney in the years 1965 - 1970. The superfast version was created in the last year of production. The biggest difficulty during the renovation was the connection of the chassis with the body. I had to shorten the rivet replacement screw as much as possible.

I have a fleet of these all in as bad or worse condition than that and was thinking of a mass restoration at some point. Thanks for the video of how you did it. Great result.

Very nice work. Paint looks great: very smooth and glossy. The wheels looked very dirty, worn out. Well done restoring them.

Wie bei dir üblich; eine hervorragende Restaurationsarbeit. Ich hatte dieses Fahrzeug als Kind auch. Sah wohl diesem nach einigem Spielen sehr ähnlich. Sehr schöne Arbeit von Dir. Gruß Joachim Jak zwykle u ciebie; doskonałe prace konserwatorskie. Miałem ten pojazd również jako dziecko. Wyglądał bardzo podobnie do tego po kilkukrotnym graniu. Bardzo dobra robota od ciebie Pozdrowienia Joachim

as we use harsher cleaners later on like paint strippers , wire wool , toothbrushes etc etc ,,, is the ultrasonic cleaner of any real bennefit ???

Hello. I guess so. The ultrasonic cleaner softens the old varnish, removes dirt from the recesses and makes it easier to remove paint later. Best wishes
