In this episode I take another childhood racer, the Porsche 935 and update it a little. Better livery a replaced chassis and interior and some usual resto and custom tips along the way.

Not only you restore the body, you custom build an entire chassi, and manufactured yourself, a proper decals. I'm happy I follow your channel since the very first video. Thanks Michael..... I'd forgotten about it actually until someone else mentioned it. When I did 1/24th scale I used to make the window nets out of it which, as you say, was much more material like. I'd totally forgot then I was reminded again about it. Much easier :)

What a great video to watch on a Sunday morning! Your patience, accuracy and tenacity with creating the various tiny apertures in the body really paid off and added greatly to the realism of the model. The devil is in the detail as they say so the tiny elements such as the speaker mesh grill and nicely textured racing harness really are the things that set the model apart from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Thank you for another entertaining video!

That was an enormous amount of work, but worth every minute of it. This ends up as realistic and as beautiful as if it was a real race car. Your decals are flawless and well presented. Thank You so much for sharing this with us. Please do more of the fantastically realistic race cars.

Fantastic as always! One of my favourite race cars! As a young lad i was fascinated by these flame throwing wide-flared monsters, and still am. Group-5 was such a thrilling racing series. Thanks for the decals by the way, the Sand Scorcher is as good as finished. As soon as i'm feeling better, i'll make a video about it. For filing out those difficult to reach spots and mould lines, i use a Proxxon rotary tool, saves a bunch of time.

@@SidewaysKing75 It certainly was. Motorsport is still good, but i miss the excentric looks and overpowered engines. By the way, i'm going to redo my 1/64 scale Monster Beetle, so i need those decals too. But first i need some Avante decals. I'll send you a scan of the stickers with the dimenions as soon as possible.

I know this is not usually your style, but I would love to see your take on one of the original Matchbox castings, that came without interiors, or glasses. Part of the reason it takes so long to heat up the metal when soldering is because you're also heating up your clamps. They are acting as a heat sync and taking the heat away from the joint you are hoping to solder. You would be better off using some sort of hi heat resistant nylon to hold your parts. Then all of your heat will be going into the parts joint only and not into the clamp. Just offering up some advice. And, as usual, a great build. Always impressive. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi, ooohhh nice, that Porsche 935 is my favorite Porsche as a race car. Fast with a fantastic motor sound. Got some of it in 1/18 scale from Minichamps, Paul's Model Art and of course from True scale Miniatures. You made an absolute fantastic recovery of that tiny scale. Buy a mini blow torch and pre heat the metal wire that way it will already be upto temperature and wont take along for the soldering to heat it up

Wow. Cutting out those ducts was totally worth it somehow. It looks like a tiny actual Porsche. :) (Was that Apple livery a real thing? I had no idea they sponsored European racing cars back in the elder days.)

Thank you very much :) Yes sir they sponsored some cars over here and with great success to :) Theres loads of Group 5 racing on KZfaq with some amazing battles. Best thing is the historic racing classes use all this classic machinery still and they're still as mad door to door round the circuits
