The model was produced in 1961-1964. Mine got in very poor condition: the engine flap was missing and the whole car was painted with a brush. I made the lid myself, cast it from hard tin with copper.

(Not available, where I lived back then) But this BUG was my first real car, when I became 18 years old. That was great. I liked the bit with the boot lid. I know all about silicone moulding but I am ignorant about smelting and stuff. That car looked just my old Beetle! I liked the bit with the box as well.

Jak mogą psuć takie piękne i kochane przez kolekcjonerów stare matchboxy. Jak? Te stare matchboxy zasługują na szacunek , a nie psucie i rzucanie ich o podłogę czy ścianę. Nie wolno tak z nimi robić trzeba je szanować. Ale garbusik żeczywiście piękny jak na matchboxa.

I've never seen thisg model before with the opening bonnet and engine, shame there was no interior. I had two Matchbox Beetles but both were Monte Carlo Fallot versions, one with the plastic, Superfast wheels

I paint the body with acrylic car paint and the synthetic chassis. This is what the manufacturer specifies. Best wishes
