Still have the one I got as a kid. One of the greatest toys I ever had, played with it (and other Matchbox Superkings) for years. No batteries, no chips, just plastic and metal and tons of fun.

Efekt końcowy, jak zwykle wspaniały. Do kompletu brakuje tylko dźwigu który zdejmie jeden kontener, żeby można załadować obydwa. Gdyby jeszcze kierownice zamontować po drugiej stronie to można by nią jeździć po polskich drogach.👏

I remember these trucks very clearly, they came in a whole bunch of different versions, Scammell, Mack and Volvo (I think), the trailers could be tankers, tippers or containers like yours. Many different colurs as well. I'm not sure I ever had this one, but I did own a Texaco tanker and a red/yellow tipper. They all had pretty good play value (especially a tipper in a sandbox), but it's pretty obvious why you've had such difficulties finding all the parts for this set, since the containers and trailer chassis are all detachable, so would easily get separated, and when resold at flea markets decades later, people often wouldn't know they belonged together. Very nice restoration as always, there were a lot of interesting challenges along the way, like the broken wheels, yellowed plastic and warped chassis. You say the original inner tray is of "poor quality", and I agree, but wouldn't you be able to replicate it using the vacuum machine you use for windows? Poor quality or not, wouldn't really matter since it would only be used for your display anyway, so no risk of breaking.
