Congratulations to Joe cordina he has a big fan in me 👍, I always thought form the first time I seen him he had an "X factor" and will be world champion! He showed everything in the ring on Saturday and that fight learned him more than all his amatuer and pro fights combined! Absolutely fantastic fight Wales has a new hero.

The Welsh always create such atmosphere and Joe proved he is the real deal beating someone of Rakhimov's quality and toughness. That was one hard fight.

Joe was fantastic I thought it was suicide tactics holding his feet and fighting in the pocket but it was genius. No doubt if he ran round the ring he'd have slowed up late and potentially had a harder end to the fight. He boxed very well showed true toughness and grit aswell as his usual skill

I love how Sims is happy to use the greats names as shorthand for certain techniques. As a coach, I've noticed there's a snobbery among boxing coaches. It's as if they want people to think they invented it, or something. I've been very open with my fighters 'look, this great fighter did this and it works - here's video examples. Let's drill it and try to implement it.'

Joe Cordina is brilliant at making angles. Especially here against a southpaw. No wonder Tony Sims was yelling at every time he went to the ropes. His footwork is elite BUT... he wants to stay at 130. There's no place for him ar 135 with Tank and Shakur set to rule that weight for the foreseeable future
