I give my tools I want to upgrade to the new people that can’t afford them. It’s the perfect justification, lol. My wife really don’t think so, but her input isn’t asked for. Keep up the good work!

I just ordered myself sum koken mini ratchets in 1/4 and 3/8. Have you ever had to use those E torx box wrenches they make? I've found them useful in my job

Awesome cart, I’m about to finish up school, and my family is willing to get me a tool cart, what is your opinion on the jsc770 and this one? I know the 480 is cheaper just want to know if the extra money would be worth it or not?

Man I love the Matco carts, probably better than snap on carts except I feel the snap on carts roll smoother with softer wheels and due to that they are more quiet and tools don’t move around too much inside as with the Matco’s. But I do work on a old asphalt ground. Have you noticed that?
@alb123456727 жыл бұрын
Did I miss Flares and Crowsfoot? I did PS lines for a neighbor for an Explorer, had to use 3 types of 18mm flare wrenches to get it in and out. I ended up cutting one line. He bought me a sunex flare crowfoot set before the job, worked great.
@flatratemaster7 жыл бұрын
No flares or Crowfoot, he really doesn't do much with hydraulic lines other than some calipers here and there, and most of them are crush washer style lines, he is the lowest man on the totem pole, so mostly maintenance, brakes and LOFs
@alb123456727 жыл бұрын
Oh, that explains it. In Upstate NY flares are always required. Hard Lines are always rusting out, big money for shops.

plenty of matco dealers in ontario. I have a matco 6s double bay top and bottom tool box filled with lots of matco tools. Some of their stuff is junk you can get at princess auto, so pick and choose what youre buying.

I just picked up this cart and would love to get some info on your side table.
@flatratemaster7 жыл бұрын
It is a Snap On side tray, I had to in large the holes to get it to line up with the threads in the side for the handle and remove the side guards. Sorry I do not have a part number
@Drunkis13377 жыл бұрын
Solid Cart sir. I can tell you work on a little of everything just based on the Torx, hex and triple square sockets you have. Have you switched over to mostly electric power tools over air tools?
@flatratemaster7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! yes mostly electric, air hammer, air grinder and air saw is about all I use air for! Well and filling tires

Have you seen the new milwaukee mid-torque 1/2 impact? It's a smaller version of the massive 1/2 drive with a huge amount of torque still

I’m a newbie and have what I assume is a very basic question...What is difference between “chrome” and non chrome ratchets. It’s not clear to me why you would want both kinds. Thank you
@iamtheliberated6 жыл бұрын
I cannot hype the Milwaukee 1/4" impact enough. The guy I trained with had Matco cordless tools. Not knocking Matco, but I'm getting more power and a higher octane warranty. Even my training tech liked it. You tap the trigger at full power and it'll re-orient your hand position pretty quick. Other than the torque mode button only working during or just after a trigger press (I've used low torque once so far) I only have two complaints. Yeah, I understand, it's a battery driven tool. The less charge it has, the less ass it has to work with. It kinda bothered me though the difference between three and two bars on the fuel gauge. Yeah it does its job, but you can tell. It's just the slightest iota slower. Once it hits one, swap and charge. My only other gripe is the tension ring being a total BITCH for a while. I hit a month of almost daily use before I could snap one on and go. Could just be crappy sockets though, and probably is. That puppy isn't playing around though. That said, after I got it I put it through two weeks of LOF/Rotate, mainly on Ford/Lincoln (belly pans, air boxes, etc.) and it took that long to hit two bars. Glad I bought it.
@flatratemaster6 жыл бұрын
+iamtheliberated Milwaukee makes great stuff the only reason I have not upgraded that tool is it still works great, but that and my impact driver are the only Matco electric tools I own

Knipex (model Cobra's) are an individual brand, Matco is just a reseller. I would take anything made by Knipex over any truck brand. IMO they make the best pliers available.

I do envy a full sized professional cart. I have the harbour freight 5 drawer cart, which has been really awesome, but I always kind of want a cart with drawers all the way down. We will see how well I fill this one, but that cart just looks so good! Its so aesthetically pleasing.
@flatratemaster6 жыл бұрын

Those rolac discs are a no no to use for gasket removal.GM has a TSB not to use them,can cause premature engine failure.Plus they remove material from the gasket surfaces.The little pieces get in the oil which the oil filter can't trap.
@flatratemaster7 жыл бұрын
wafrederick I use them mostly for cleaning wheel hubs, really don't see anything with gaskets those would be useful, RTV is removed with a carbon scraper and a wire wheel and most everything else is O rings or metal or a combo of both, shop i work at only takes in 2000 and newer
