Cliff, AVH's music is dutch trance. You are supposed to just vibe with it and drift off in thought. So that happening instead of it hitting like the most intense drop is intended.

@@MrozuCW I don't think that was the issue. I love this genre so I listened to his first two rounds over and over. I am actually listening to those as I am typing this. His other rounds don't do it for me in the same way. So those rounds in general are less exciting rounds. But as a genre its not meant to be a heavy hitting drop.

@@Henk717avh's rounds after his first against brez are all the same. I see him like inertia. His niche, his cleanliness and vibe, is going to snag a round or two, but he is not going to go the distance. Legitimately, his second round in this battle and the second round in the final could be the same exact track in a different language if I didn't know any better.

As much as your points are valid, and I'm also very opinionated towards AVH, the reason he got 4th and not any higher is because this contest is definitely intended to have some battle scenery to it, which AVH did not seem to do for a majority of his rounds. What put him close to the finals was because his beats and his music is very easy to listen to and captures most minds. It almost seems as if he did this for the purpose of putting out his music to a bigger audience at all. It's respectable, but not quite worth sending any higher up the ladder than he went. That being said, I did put Dancing Summer on my House music playlist.

Well to me, this GBB was probably one of the best ones so far. Every performance was a banger in terms of musicality. Almost every song was good enough to just put it on spotify.

As loop station has evolved, we’ve gotten more people able to make the kind of music that they want meaning it tends to stray further away from the battle aspect for some people. it’s turned more into people wanting to showcase their music, then battle and win which is why people like Brez and bizkit receive the praise they do with the heavy routines (on top of actually being good of course). But basically more of the people in the battle as it evolves over the years or just trying to show their music and not go for the jugular battling it out

I agree man! We had rhythmnd and neatness doing crazy drops and mad layering that has surprises. These were just good head bobby tracks and nice sound design but not the same for a battle. What you expect from a showcase instead. Big love and glad you're back and feeling well bro. Matej last round was more like it though!

You are right Cliff, this year seemed a little weak. You can create battle rounds which can sound like music and a true song. Look at Saro. That's why I love him, nobody is like him and I miss those days when he was battling. You said put Saro and Rythmind on the stage...just wait for their showcase together. For me it was the best thing on this GBB. ❤

Normally I fuck with your reactions but this one wasn't it, as much as you say "no disrespect to the artist" you're constantly disrespecting them by saying their music is putting you to sleep, not every Loopstation battle is gonna have hype shit, like me a lot of people loved this years Loopstation roster bc most of them are amazing artist that make banger songs and vibey music.
