Cen10 is the one public in Cali that can conceivably beat MD or SJB. But it would take a perfect effort on their part and an imperfect effort by MD or SJB to pull it off.

Mater Dei reminds me of old-school Bama. A very elite defense with an excellent run game. I think I've seen that Mater Dei has two top 10 guys in the country on their offensive line? Not having to rely on the passing game is a luxury.

Cen10 better then last year nice 2 see this is a perfect game 4 them before facing BG can see them beating them, guys were actually making plays on D but the MD defence is 2 OP this year, offense started slow picked it up a little as the game went on Even with the new coach i am standing by my prediction this years MD team will be like 2017 where they did not trail any team 4 a SECOND all year long

@Angell.r06 that team could (should? Had they had one more successful red zone trip) have been natty Champs that year. Yes this year's team not quite on that lvl but nice 2 see some more size on the line and they def played an arguably better MD team then last year's closer atleast. Wouldn't be shocked if we get a MDvcen10 rematch in the champ game

Yes, seems like when the Huskies score, they made it a point to score. Very hard to tell if Mata Dei is not as good as everyone is saying or Corona should be in the top 10 nationally. 😮when Mata Dei plays St. Francis it will tell a lot. The game was great though. I was there

let's see how well the first year coach of mater dei does. bruce rollo's mater dei teams always came prepared, disciplined, followed the script on both offense and defense and rarely made mistakes. it's the little things he mastered for his team even in blow out games. let's see how how the team plays in that regards the rest of this year.

I would love to see them take on duncanville this year from Texas, although duncanville is just a public school so it wouldn't really be apples to apples. Texas needs to make a private school and pull all the studs from the state. Then it would be on equal terms. But again, duncanville is a beast this year and it would be a great game.

#0 is peeking too much as he runs inside, you can tell he has preference to bounce it out. However if he hits those inside concepts like his outside runs he will see more success inside and overall. They need him though.

Cen10 is pretty small. If they can compete this well against MD why can’t the Texas powerhouses? Very interesting dynamic to say the least. 🤔 They must have some of the best coaching.

It’s a scheme issue. Texas schools have big interior linemen and linebackers because most schools down there run between the tackles, pro style offenses. The top California high schools are all running the spread nowadays. The speed of their receivers and backs is a matchup nightmare for those big SEC country guys. They don’t have the stamina to run sideline to sideline every play.

Because mater dai is a select private school competing against public schools from Texas, you take the studs from all over the state of Texas and put them together and they would destroy Mater Dei. You guys have to understand the difference between a public school and a private.

Corona Centennial On-lines blocking is garbage, granted Mater Dei front seven is probably the best it's been in years that's no excuse for how many times they broke through and got into the backfield.

@@rahb2096 don’t think it matter what I look like that’s irrelevant considering I only compete at 181 and 198 🤷🏽♂️🤣 the players I’ve been seeing are not as developed as they once were like when ironically when Bryce young played at mater dei line look like a college line runningbacks too at the same time ig they RBs have been shifting to the pass catchers don’t see to many top backs being much larger than 200lbs these days in highschool don’t have the fournettes ,chubbs ,zamir whites, every other img back like 3yrs ago , the line backers lookin small not sure I seen in in the league I played in highschool too all the teams have got smaller even the powerhouse schools that had lower D1 talent ( disclaimer the team I played for was an undersized team bc we was D4 😂 all line men we had were 260-290 average running back was 185-190 ) but like I was saying every team seems to be smaller these days the last 3 yrs shit the team I playe. For the average linemen is 240 now and the average rb they’ve had is 150-160 just saying we had a small team already and we were playing D1 recruits just saying the size and development of players has become smaller

Per MaxPreps, yes. They started the season at 15. There is a huge falloff in Cali after MD, SJB, and Cen10. Mission Viejo is probably the next closest to those three, but that's really it. De La Salle has elected to not play the transfer game and has slid into regional power status.

Serra (San Mateo is ranked 29, Mission Viejo is ranked 31, Los Alamitos is 39, Long beach Poly is 50, Folsom is 67. There are a few more Parochial schools between them, Sierra Canyon, Rancho Santa Margarita, De la Salle, Orange Lutheran, JSerra. This is in the top 100 in the US

Mater Dei is just much bigger in the trenches. Their athletes are equal level maybe even not as good. QB for cantennial could use some work on his pocket poise, but I’d have to see the film breakdown to see what he was looking at down field.

Mater Dei QB has perfect protection and a massive pocket yet still can’t keep his composure to step into it… he either takes a sack or has to roll out in order to make a decent throw. Doesn’t have a future in the next level if he doesn’t fix that.

You can't expect to beat Mater Dei on big plays alone. Cen10 looked good. They're very fast. Mater Deinwas just a touch better.MD's running game looked good; passing game needs work. Defense was amazing. It seemed every time Cen10 advanced the ball on a long olay. MD would come right back back with losses. It's like bend and then break you.

@@MoreMotion4 I like Inglewood, they have been getting real good, but they are a lower division team. Cen10 is going to play Punahou, Gorman, Liberty (NV) and Santa Margarita in preseason alone. Cen10's league is weak, you are right, but then they play in the SSDI bracket, so they'll face teams like Poly, Mission Viejo Bosco or even Mater Dei again, depending on how far they get. As I said, better comp.
