if both parents share their maximums of both maternity (mother) and paternity (mother and Father) the father can apply for an extra 8 weeks resulting in total of 84 weeks combined but only at the same overall amount. my wife and i both enjoyed this with out last child.

I have been approved for it I think? its been five weeks since I applied and they paid for all of five weeks except the waiting period. Now I'm not sure if I'm only getting paid for five weeks or 35 weeks. It says on my "latest claim details" weeks of parental benefits paid: 5 weeks of parental benefits requested : 35 total weeks paid: 5 last report processed: Nov 17th, 2019-Nov 23, 2019. like am I only getting paid for 5 weeks or???

Having a retirement visa would make no sense for Canada. Canada visas are structured so that young people have the best chance of immigrating so they can work and pay into the tax system. Having retirees immigrate and use benefits like healthcare would make no sense for Canada. So to answer your question no there is no retirement visa.
@securedatastorage

@Nguoi khach La Then, there is no point to stay in Canada, knowing that you will not stay there when you reach retirement age. Better off to go to US, Australia, NZ (warmer weather) and get a work visa there to earn more $$$. By the time you reach or near retirement age, you can go to Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia or any south eastern Asia countries to retire on. Happy days.

Why is that? Is it because she will get paycheck for having babies to overpopulate the world either by the Canadian government or her husband? Or is it because you sell her? It's nice to learn from other cultures.

It is great with all the benefits. But as you say, the due date was Nov 4th or 5th and still the hospitals and the insurance company for the well being of the child and mother, should not delay. This is something that I see bad in Canada. Though you and your wife is tensed, the hospitals take it cool and least bothered that the baby is out after the due date and so many days passed. In India I should be proud to tell that there is no much fooling business and keeping the parents tensed. Here they are more concerned of the insurance companies and the hospitals act keeping this in mind unlike in India after 4-5 days or a week after the due date there is a ceaserian done for the well being of the mother and child. As it is we who know our needs and not the insurance company as the hospitals act to insurance companies happy, leaving aside the the main subject.

Do you know anything about obstetrics? Perhaps you should comment on things you actually know about. Likely Igor and his wife could have asked to be induced after 40 weeks but most women prefer for labour to start naturally. Due dates don’t mean that a child has to be born at 40 weeks or it is dangerous. If the baby and mother are healthy and there is plenty of amniotic fluid there is no danger to the baby and inducing labour can extend labour over many days which is harder on the woman and a c-section is unnecessary surgery. WHO and all other obstetrics associations agree that women should not have c-sections unless it is medically necessary. In Canada most obstetricians and midwives will induce labour at 41 weeks. Many European countries let women go to up to 42 weeks before inducing labour if it doesn’t happen naturally. His wife going past her due date has nothing to do with insurance. Canada has Medicare so insurance isn’t involved at all. You should read how due dates are calculated. Unless you have had fertility treatments doctors don’t know the exact date a child was conceived (neither do parents) since sperm can survive for days and ovulation is variable between women and does not happen at exactly 14 days after the start of menstruation. Due dates are just a date where the child should approximate arrive +/- 2 weeks. Canada has pretty low infant mortality rates so the hospital system does know what they are doing.🙄

PM VARKEY What trauma? Does Igor look like he is worried? He is making a video while falling in snow. Honestly an unnecessary c-section at 40 weeks has a much higher risk of complications versus waiting for labour to start between 40-41 weeks. A c-section is a big operation that a women has to heal from versus a vaginal birth. There is a longer healing time and a higher risk of complications with a c-section including getting a hospital acquired infection in both Canada and India. C-sections are necessary but a vaginal birth also helps babies. The flora in the vaginal canal is thought to be important and getting compressed through the birthing canal also clears the lungs of fluid which does not happen in a csection. India has a much worse prevalence of superbugs that are no longer sensitive to most antibiotics so any unnecessary procedure should be avoided. Would actually google things unless you are a doctor and know what you are talking about. Your post is totally inaccurate including the fact that insurance companies are influencing whether people get medical care in Canada. www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/pregnancy-week-by-week/in-depth/overdue-pregnancy/art-20048287 www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2018/10/12/656198429/rate-of-c-sections-is-rising-at-an-alarming-rate www.figo.org/news/figo-position-paper-c-sections-how-stop-epidemic

PM VARKEY Why wouldn’t it be? His channel is about immigration he is not prioritizing advising his KZfaq channel as soon as his baby is born. They are likely new parents going through a big adjustment and enjoying their baby and he will eventually announce he had a new baby. This isn’t a pregnancy or baby channel. As you saw I attached proof from the Mayo clinic, which is one of the top hospitals in the world, that due dates are not that important and having a child after 40 weeks is not a big deal. After 42 weeks it is not advisable and in Canada it is uncommon for women to be allowed to remain pregnant past 41 weeks. Due dates are just estimates and your child could have actually been born over 40 if the estimated conception date was wrong. Also provided proof from reputable journals and organizations that elective c-sections, which your wife had, are more dangerous than having a vaginal birth whether induced or occurring naturally before or after 40 weeks.

@amyseaden9069
@amyseaden9069 4 жыл бұрын
Moses MB yes child benefit helps pay a small fraction of the cost to have children in Canada. It is mainly in place in the hopes to ensure that children from low income families have access to enough food, diapers, formula, etc. $600 doesn’t go that far if you look at the cost of diapers, formula, car sets, stroller, childcare, etc. It will hopefully ensure the children from lower income families have a better chance of having a decent roof over their head, warm clothing, adequate food, etc. Daycare in Toronto can cost up to $2400+/month in some daycare facilities so $400-600 is not going to alleviate the majority of the expense of having a child. A home daycare in Toronto is around $1200 and you provide diapers, formula and often snacks while your child is there.
