Let a = sort(5/24) and b= 1/2(1/sqrt(2) - 1/sqrt(3)). The the expression to be evaluated is N=(a+b)^4 + (a-b)^4 = 2[(a^2+b^2)^2 +4a^2 b^2. (a^2+b^2)^2 = 31/144 -(5 sqrt(6))/72 and 4a^2b^2=25/144- (5sqrt(6))/72. Thus, N = 1/18[14 -5 sqrt(6)].
