I purchased the Alpha x 30. The draw cycle is so smooth. It only took a couple weeks to get the bow in the color combination I wanted. My dealer said it could be as late as March or April if I wanted to order the Lift. I am really enjoying the shooting experience with my new Hoyt. Both bows are great in my opinion.

Still waiting to shoot the lift. Sold out in most places and already sold when they come in. Down played the Mathews a little. The bow is completely new with the weight of a carbon bow is impressive. So far the Core SS is my leading contender of the bows I've shot for 2024 models.

I was so excited to shoot the new Mathews and was very disappointed in the draw cycle. Wish it was smoother.

@@BowHunterPlanet no it isn’t. Phase 4 is easier to draw, but the lift has a smoother, more linear draw force curve.

I bought the Alpha x 33 for me it came down to the draw cycle. The Hoyt was way more comfortable Than the Lift , I’m coming off shooting the V3X for the past few years. All great bows , just pick what feels best to you , not what you people tell you is best!

Completely agree I went with the rx8 just for the weight. The Mathews disappointed me. I normally shoot 75 and I tried the 70lb mod and it felt almost like an 80lb draw.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Lift this year. Im not brand loyal, but I will say that I switched from Bowtech to Mathews a couple years ago and have had no regrets. I'll try out all the bows offered this year before making a decision (as one should), but if the Lift holds up to the hype, I think it could be a great upgrade to the V3X that i currently use. Thanks for the side by side comparison!

I owned a Hoyt, I shot both the Alpha x 33 and Lift 33, I left with the Lift 33.

At a 29” draw the Hoyt is at the least efficient spot in the cam. It’s actually faster at 28.5” draw…loved the bow, but if you’re the bottom end of the draw length range, it’s a little slower than the competition, but maxed out it’s right there or above the rest. Both are fantastic

That is a tough one. First point, they are both out of my price range. Second, it's not really against Hoyt, but when I was looking for my Bear bow, the salesman was shoving the Hoyt down my throat, and that left a bad impression. I'm sorta leaving towards the Mathews, but the specs on the Hoyt are hard to ignore.

Alpha x30 by far the best bow out there right now . Would pick Hoyt over Mathew’s everytime.

Except the Lift is outselling the Alpha x by a long shot. One shop owner said they sell 5-7 Lifts for every Alpha x sold.

I ordered my Lift 29.5, shot both and for me it was the better feeling bow. Obviously not the same for everyone. I was told I should have it by end of May.

I would go with the Mathews. The reason being is my local bowshop only sells Mathews and Mission. I've dealt with that shop for 30years, I'm loyal to that certain shop. I had to switch to a crossbow last season soI had them get me a ravin. I know several people that went from Mathews to other brands but ended up going back to Mathews. The thing is we're blessed to have several great options with bows nowadays. I say shoot whatever is the most comfortable and best for you.

That’s why at 29” you would want the Alpha X 33 which is at the top end of the cam mod.

Got an Rx-8 on order… haven’t had a chance to try the lift, as I am a lefty and even worst I’m in Canada 😅! Everywhere I asked there’s at least 3 months lead time for a left hand Mathews! Went to a hoyt Vip event in my town and was sold by how smooth the Rx-8 was compared to my V3x 😂

Right on Simon you will love it I've got my new RX-8 at 70lbs draw weight and camo is in Elevated II and I fully loaded it up with all the accessories including the garmin xero A1I pro site. Trust me you made the right choice I think that I would never shoot anything else than hoyt I just love how they feel and the smooth draw cycle. Enjoy it buddy.

Hmm I would say according to this and many other reviews: 1. Mathews: Lighter, faster, quieter. 2. Hoyt: Superior grip, more stable at similar length, more adjustment flexibility.

@@michaelcolthart4006 I’ve heard multiple people say the Hoyt is more stable and the grip is one of the best while many people hate the Mathews grip.

Hoyt has always been a quality bow Mathew’s is good I own a Mathew’s but the alpha x30 is by far the best bow on the market and best quality out there hands down . Get my aloha x30 at end of month can’t wait !!!
