That was the most commercial album he has ever done and he did it on purpose. It's not like he couldn't have made an All Eyez on Me earlier. He didn't want to. When he got out of prison he was on a mission to make money and that beef was perfect for that. Also he created a narrative about what happened without having to deal with the truth of that matter.
