Cote is a really respectable guy. Sticks up for his team even though they make some questionable decisions sometimes and receive backlash often ("Pretty good job so far") and is genuinely determined to make a solid movie. Shows he's really proud of his game, as he should be

The Thing would be a dope pick. Imagine a killer that can copy survivors, lure you into a false sense of security thinking it’s a teammate only for them to de-form and chase you

@@UndyingHunger That's what everyone thought The Unknown was going to be, and before that people have wanted a mimicry killer for a long time, but I don't think the devs see that as being very feasible gameplay-wise. All-friends teams would be able to strategize against it way too easily.

The thing problem with swf easy to fix like the chucky height problem. Just disable way to play against the thing if u are a swf

My idea would roughly be that when you hit someone with an M1, they get partially infected, and if they go near an uninfected survivor they scream periodically revealing their and the other survivors location, and the Thing would be based on the final form in the 1982 movie and you can travel around quickly (like 150%) but quite loudly underground to any location you want (kind of like Phase Walk or the Knights Guard summoner), but maybe you are a little slower when you resurface like 110%. If the infection is permanent (Which it should be since there's not really a cure), the counterplay is having three infected survivors playing around the killer (Like a usual SWF) and one gen junkie that isnt infected, because if the killer has all 4 survivors infected then it gets a pressure buff, like ALL survivors periodically scream no matter the context of where they are or what they are doing every like, 40 seconds. I feel like it'd be cool if it can disguise itself as a human model during that pressure period where everyone is infected, either that or it spawns into the game disguised as the survivor farthest away from the other survivors and can chase and everything, and doesnt break disguise until it chooses or automatically when it picks up a survivor, or maybe it's like that the whole game? Unsure. There's loads of different ways you can go about a shape shifter, but my original concept is consistent and I think it'd satisfy peoples desire for the Thing, and it isnt just communication counterable like a disguise killer would be.@@rickcharlespersonal​

@@JeroJero_Edits I feel like if there was any chance for DbD to implement a mimic killer it would have been The Unknown, but instead they made it a recycled Huntress/Demogorgon hybrid... Unless Behaviour is actually pushing for an official The Thing license, in which case I'd be able to excuse their missed opportunity with The Unknown.

Having special interactions with the basement could be very interesting as part of a killer power

@@PettyPerkins True, but it’s a fact that the entity can twist the killers vision such as Slingers and Wraiths, so the entity could probably make Dexter see the survivors as people who fit his code.
