Exactly, I get marriages don’t work out but you shouldnt stop talking to your son. If I got remarried and had another child I would never put my new child over my older one. I would contact them every day if I don’t live near them and fight for time.

There is no way the mother should have provided free lodging in their own home for an ex and the ex's new wife. If deadbeat dad can't afford lodging don't come. If the parents don't teach that 10 year old manners, someone else that is not so nice will, bet.

It was more than the cake.. it who’s father’s selfish attitude and lack of showing love to him over the years. He wanted to bond with his father. But his dad let him know that his daughter was once again more important. He crushed Liam’s spirit and broke his heart so many times over the years.

The father has some major psychological deficits! He never apologized to the son. The son needs to be his best, do his best and look his best! What guest/family would cut that cake without permission. The father must have absolutely no control over his daughter. He could have taken her out for dessert or checked with his ex wife to find out if there was something sweet she could have. The father doesn’t get it! You are talking to a brick wall. He may have children but he is a juvenile! I do pray that the son will strive for excellence in his life ! Wow! What a case!

My daughter is 10 and she doesnt throw fits. My son is 2 and he throws fits, because hes 2. This man is in for it allowing his child to act like that and give into it and give her what she wants.

This father is a completely horrible human being. Regardless of his son being a teenager (18 years old), it was his son's cake for a special occasion. Why didn't this man go out and purchase his daughter her own cake to eat? The father could have told her Liam's cake was off limits and no the little spoiled girl could not take a piece of Liam's cake.

This case goes deeper than a piece of cake. The son resents his father for leaving him and his mother (wife) for some other woman and getting her pregnant. The son didn't have to cancel his Birthday, over a slice of cake missing. Yes I understand the principle, the dad shouldn't have given in to a brat. I just feel it's all over resentment

It was his party. Not the dad's. Not the other child's. The guy has a right to cancel the party. As bad as some folks in society are, I'm certain somebody would've seen the missing slice even if turned around. It'd been all over social media, ruining the guy's life. I went to sleep from working night shifts just before my party. Everybody claimed they couldn't wake me up. Nobody set aside a plate. Not one crumb or even proof there'd ever been are party was leftover when I finally woke up. Of course it was just with family. However, it didn't make the situation any better...

So much to unpack here! Mom is controlling and probably very very difficult to deal with. She openly speaks badly about her ex but he doesn’t do that to her. Father is definitely off. Son is hurt plus brainwashed by his mother. He will grow up and have relationship issues. Him cancelling the party was kind of dumb. She raising him to be feminine.
