Tictactrey from the first feature match here! This was a rlly fun event and even tho I lost in top 16 I had lots of fun! Shoutout to Lilypod for testing alongside me! We both ended up registering with effectively the same list (with like 2 differences total lol) and also shoutout to my gf for vcing with me all tournament and giving me moral support (she's new to the game but still was useful in her own way). Cant wait for the invitational!

Little bit of a spoiler but if you were wondering about the mathmech players hands. Dont read if you havent watched the whole vid Semifinals Game 1: Maxx c, droll, ash, ghost belle, ghost belle. (The reason for greedy maxx c, needed the draws). Maxx C draw was parallel exceed, draw for turn was small world. Game 2: Nibiru, Ash, Parallel exceed, Parallel exceed, Nabla, and 1 more dead card, think it was like superfac or thrust or smn. dont remember what the topdeck was but the 3rd parallel exceed was sided out lmao. Finals Game 1: Circular, Addition, ghost belle, ghost belle, droll. Turn 3 and 5 top decks: multiplication and equation, forgot the order. Turn 7 with 2 belles in hand top decked exceed :) Finals Game 2: Droll (he played draw phase lol), ash, kaiju, Parallel exceed, talents. Chose to keep 1 handtrap in case no summon for exceed. Top deck Circular :)

I know Kashtira was never going to win the MCS, but man, Shadow Realm played that set about as poorly as he possibly could.

I don't think chaining Daruma to Caesar Valius is the same phenomenon at all as trying to crow Lily Borea. I believe it's because Caesar says "return 'it' to the hand" rather than something like "return that face-up vanquish soul monster to the hand". It doesn't matter what state the target is in on resolution, as long as "it" is still there in the monster zone.

Diameter is a massive back up for mathmech. Optimal normal is firewall. If you can get to circular you can even resolve sigma before linking firewall into ling, and still save him for super factorial by using him for alembert. Pretty cool. Ling not really protection in this deck it’s there to climb into splash mage.

I feel like the kash player wasn't favored in game three against VS, but didn't he also play that super incorrectly. He let his arise heart be taken for almost free, took extra material of of Ira for... a follow-up fenrir that wouldn't win the game, kept the vs monster so he couldn't summon unicorn and at least put up SOME board. Also could he not get a unicorn on the field at all, with one more zone lock and a material left on Ira, it was a won game. On turn 1-2

I, legitimately, don't see why konami keeps Maxx c. Having someone turn 1 combo and then resolve Maxx c is 99.9% gg. Honestly, Maxx c is the #1 finisher card in the game and it's not even close They ban contact c in the xyz festival bc the card countered the entire focus of the format yet Maxx c is legal even though it counters 95% of the entire format for the past 10 years of the game design If they're gonna keep Maxx c in they need to limit it to 1 in MD bo1 format or errata the card to only be able to activate if you have no cards on the field

Purrely got so much hate throughout this thing and still convincingly made it to top 16 as the dominant deck. Disgusting, and I still salute Konami's decision to limit delicious memory before it got to rampage in the TCG as well.

Really just shows there’s a hidden algorithm to drawing cards you need. Every single time drawing a card you need is very fishy. What’s he playing on. I’d check his setup for mods
