Learn the F-Distribution and how to use it to solve statistics problems involving hypothesis testing and analysis of variance (Anova). We will first learn what the f-distribution is, why it is important, and the characteristics of the f-distribution.

Hello sir, Thank you so much for such a crystal clear and detailed video. I had missed the lecture on f-distribution and I was quite scared that I might not be able to understand it. But someone recommended me going for KZfaq classes and I don't regret coming here at all. Your video is so informative and I understood the whole topic easily. Thank you again. Have a good day/night....💜

Thanks for creating this video, I learned a lot. That said, perhaps start with concept, drawing, example problem then the in-depth description? It took five mins to know why and how we'd use this distribution. Eg, tell them what you're going to tell them; tell them; tell them what you told them. Just my .02.

It is not clear what y-axis on the graph means. you have one number s12, second number s22, divide one by other and suddenly get a 2d distribution o_O. ps. I had statistics class 10 years ago and trying to refresh memory, perhaps that is why I am missing some piece of information...

I don't understand, u have variance of 2 samples and u r testing if they r equal or not wtf, just look at values n see if they r equal or not

I would move away from using the IQ tests as an example here, as it is a standardized test. So, supposedly the way it was formed was to give a test to a bunch of people. Then score the test. The mean test score was given the number 100. So if someone was "average" intelligence, then they would score a 100. So what ever general population you are using, you should get an average of 100 for an IQ score. If the mean of your population is scoring 85, then they are lower in the test performance than the average. I would agree, however, that IQ tests are inadequate to evaluate ones ability and mental capacity. IQ tests simply test how well one takes tests, not necessarily how well they can do other things, such as shoot an arrow or swim fast. They are not the end all and be all, but they do give us a specific amount of information about certain cognitive capacity a group has. So it does have value. But its value is not in assigning a person their worth.

So your symbols are not clear what you call a sigma symbol looks like the standard deviation symbol
@MathAndScience
@MathAndScience 4 жыл бұрын
Yes of course, that "standard deviation symbol" that you re referring to is the lower case greek letter sigma. The upper case sigma looks like the bit "E looking thing". Lower case sigma is what I am drawing here. So that standard deviation symbol is a sigma.

Yes intelligence tests are real and IQ tests highly correlate with intelligence. This finding is one of the most replicable in all of psychology, but people hate the message.
