One of my favorite scenes. I didn’t know until she took off the disguise that it was her beneath it. Lol. Excellent acting.

Love Nancy as Michelle. The chemistry between she and Andy was the best. I also love Linda Purl as Charlene Matlock, but Nancy was still the best "daughter" Ben had in the series.

My late teens to early twenties I would watch Matlock only for her. I remember there was an episode where she played a killer who was a call girl and not as Ben's assistant because Linda Purl was playing Matlock's daughter at the time. After she left then Michelle shows up.

+Lee Darin Jr Actually, in that episode, which was from Season 1 and titled The Seduction, Nancy’s character was not the killer (although she was a call girl). *Matlock is hired to defend Brad Bingham (John Beck), an aging football star with a reputation as a womanizer who was about to be cut from the team. Charlene is resistant to her father’s choice, as she believes everything the tabloids have to say about Brad; not only that, but years earlier, he’d had a brief relationship with her friend Ellen Hawley, who had tried to kill herself after they broke up. As the case continues, Charlene realizes that not everything that’s printed in the papers is true and that maybe Ellen wasn’t quite honest with her, even though a call girl (Caryn Nelson) hired to make Brad look guilty almost convinces her that he is.*

Lee Darin Jr You're mixing up two episodes. Ms. Abigail Watson summed up that one, and the other is the time Ben and company went out to the Wild West. Ben was knocked unconscious and had a dream where she was a prostitute and the killer.

@@abigailwatson1619 true. she was a call girl who nearly seduced "Ben" before he made his escape. Ben never gets the girl...he avoids them. It was weird when she turned up later as his assistant in later episodes for those of us who saw the former ep with Nancy as a "bad" girl in the witness chair. Ben changed daughters too.

My opinion about this subject, all I can say about all of this is Nancy Stafford is very beautiful with those loveliest of eyes. When Michelle and Ben were eating their Lunch outdoors, (Al Fresco) Michelle looks very beautiful, beautifully designed and polished, smells very beautiful, and and a bit seductive in her black Designer suit. It's no wonder that People especially Men were really looking and paying attention to her with Ben, walking by with a few Wolf whistles and Cat calls to be heard. I can understand why People were looking at her and wanted to look at her. I would've done the same thing if I saw her looking that beautiful from top to bottom.

Actually he was a healthy eater and had a bucket near by to spit out the hot dogs instead of swallowing. Nancy's mom was my neighbor and Nancy herself told me that. What a great actor to look like hot dogs were his passion. And Nancy is still amazing.

On Matlock Nancy Stafford- AKA Michelle Thomas saying: All Women can send out the three signals: That's if us Guys in many single men can get a clue to the three A signals. 1. I'm approachable. 2. I'm agreeable 3. I'm available. Every guy is turning their heads and whistling at Michelle, well I would whistle at her too. Main thing: Well it did not work on me!! Ba Humbug GRRRR!
