At first, when I heard they were having a Matlock revival I was cautious. I didn’t think the show would be interesting or good but after seeing this trailer, I’m excited I can’t wait to watch it. I don’t know when it’s coming up, but I’m excited

Honestly I thought it was a continum from the original story arc, where Kathy Bates was Ben's daughter who had moved from Atlanta to restart her practice. That or Ben prob worked on a major case which allowed him to start a major law firm from which His daughter carried the torch into a new era of practice and criminology but still using that down south bloodhound work ethic..

The only reason CBS is calling it Matlock is to get it noticed. Another weak reboot that has no resemblance to the much better original.

Even if the character last name was not Matlock then you would expect everyone to call her Matlock as a nickname.

CBS gave us a "Colombo" procedurial, and now another "Matlock"..I think I'll pass on both of them.

As MUCH as I'm fine with Ms. Bates... THIS trailer is a total Fail .. Did you just hear CBS (saying) - WHY??? I KNOW, these guys already know what I'm talking about.... Firstly, it's WAY to EARLY, for all this "background character introduction"... DO THAT LATER... The Original Matlock had THREE MAIN CRUTCHES to it's episodes: Matlock 's reliance on ONLY THREE CORE CO-WORKERS, NOT 30... Second, ACTUAL CRIME INVESTIGATION (we did not see that in this promo).. THIRD, Matlock (the great Andy Griffith) Breaking it Down in court... NONE OF WHICH, is seen in this "trailer"... SO, what we're seeing on this clip, is "inside" inter-office soap-opera, which everyone KNOWS was done with Ally McBeal.... So basically, they took Ally McBeal, put Kathy in the middle, slapped the name "Matlock" on it, and called it "a show"... That being said .. for this show to stick to the wall, I wish them luck, including all the background people who are just trying to have a job and and keep the lights on, who by the way, are looking good.. BUT, for someone like me, who is just a working stiff in Detroit who can clock this for what it is (this quickly), what does that say about LA in spring 2024(?) I'll watch 3 episodes... But really, from what I've seen so far, they sure as hell, should not have rode on the name "Matlock". Jeff in Detroit.

Why do they use the name of a proven hit show because they can't come up with any new ideas. Hollywood is just useless lately, Why not just put on another reality or game show.

I love how Hollywood just keeps taking classic series and turning them into unwatchable modern woke crap. I'll stick to the original Matlock series.

Will not be watching this show because of this show Blue Bloods is being😢 canceled. Also, I am boycott any new shows on CBS because of the other show that we're canceled NCIS Hawaii, CSI Vegas.

What garbage this show is. Can’t believe they dare to call it Matlock after the original. This is a bullshit reboot. Why do they have to sully the OG Matlock with this trash? Why can we as a nation not leave well enough alone sometimes. The OG Matlock is one of my favorite shows (shoot I even named my dog after him) and it’s so disappointing to see the legacy carried on this way.

When I first heard of Matlock rebooting with Beau Bridges I thought, ok Beau Bridges is curmudgeonly right for the part of Matlock. Then to my horror, I find out Bridges will not be Matlock, Kathy Bates will, what? Nope, hard pass.
