Really interesting video thanks for uploading. I have a question, when you were grinding the stones in the initial stages the water would change a few different colours, I heard one of you say that this matrix was found in ironstone, so I guess that covers the rusty orange colour, but there were some darker reds too. Did that come off the opal? or is the water just generally that orange colour so it's hard to tell?

It seems like any truly nice piece of opal would NEVER have a hole drilled into it "for a pendant". Am I incorrect? I am eager to learn. Thank you for this video.

Amazing skill, but basically horrified watching fingers getting so close to the saw. Now I see why industrial accidents are so common. I almost cut my finger off with a Stanley knife while cutting balsa wood. God knows how many finger's I'd lose doing this.

as far as I know , feel free to correct me if I'm wrong , the thing about saw diamond discs ,is that they are made from fine little synthetic diamonds , they cut best only when they get in contact with hard stuff ...they have no cut pattern like a wood saw , etc...so basically if you touch your tip of your finger on the saw .. your skin is so soft that the diamond can't cut , ofc if you push hard you will see some red paint :) , or more ..

Guys this saw wont cut his fingers, it's a diamond saw that isn't sharp at all. It's just grinding through the stone. This guy's thumbnails tho, make me sick to the stomach 😷
