The Wachowskis have made this movie using the concept of "Maya" from ancient Indian vedas. Only when the part3 of matrix ended with this sloka, Indian's were surprised. We Indians are good at observing the west, but we forget to see whats deep within our roots.

I have read the Upanishads - ed. by Oxford Classics Classics - but I have not read or heard about a Vedic or Upanishadic mantra in Avatar (film). This is what I mean. If I'm wrong and there are omaticayas singing praise, mantra, etc... to Shiva/Rudra, Vishnu, Brahma, Aditi, Surya, Gayatri, etc... I would gladly receive the advice of where and when they are being sung. They are omnipresent in Matrix. I haven't noticed them in Avatar. Thanks a lot for the info in case you provide it.

This movie is based on reality. We actually r living in 3d simulation called Matrix, there r various dimensions in the universe, u can break d matrix with higher vibration such as unconditional love towards everything, gratitude, compassion etc. Our sages have broken it in past..now it's our turn towards a 5th dimension earth 🌎💓

Actually Hindu philosophy considers Maya as little different. Maya doesn't create illusion. It hides the truth and so the unimportant starts to look important. The concept of world still remains real. There is always a balanced contradiction in the philosophy.

He is unborned and He should be worshipped" (Yajurveda, Chapter 32, Verse 3) "god is bodyless and pure" (Yajurveda, Chapter 40, Verse 8) "They are entering darkness, those who worship the natural things(like air, water, fire etc.), they are sinking more in darkness who worship created things." Kendriya vidyalay? No however I studied from RSS Hindu school. We had Hindu and christain prayers everyday . There was just one christain student in entire school of 900 students. But still we sang and had no problem singing it . After all this is what our school thought respect all and thrive together

I love this film. Watched it as a teen of 13 in 1999. Then as a teen of 17 in 2003 I watched the 2nd and 3rd parts. Talked like a kid with friends about starting a new religion called "Neoism". First watched it for the action and vfx. But then was hooked on forever to it's literally Mariana Trench level deep concepts. One of the most beautiful films to be made ever. Love you Matrix series and all behind it. Love you the reader too. Thanks.

What I meant was, those who strongly believe in Abrahamic religions often look at Hinduism with an Abrahamic point of view, they equate the concept of Dharma(Righteous duties) with Religion, they equate the concept of Bramha(all pervasive ultimate reality) with God, they equate Paap (something that creates disturbance in our minds and the society) with sin. So, I don't want anyone to leave their Abrahamic religion to understand Hinduism, I just want them to look at Hinduism with a Hindu lens and not an Abrahamic one.

Well actually according to hinduism this world aswell as this universe and multiverse actually doesn't exist at all. This is a mere illusion. We run for material comfort while one who realizes this can see through this illusion for that he need to realize the main god the creator of everything parabramha.
