Learning a lot from your videos, I was at white acres this year with my brother who has been fishing for some 50 years I was not fishing it has never interested myself . I thought i would have a days fishing on the last day so I got myself a rod license and with my brother I went across the road from white acre I borrowed a rod and reel and at the age of 67 you could say I was hooked .when I got home I started buying myself and the wife our fishing gear ready for next year which will be straight after the new year thank you for all your knowledge that you are pass on

I know this is quite old, but takes me back 20 years maybe, I fished woodlands in Thirsk, with my mate Rob, we just about filled it in with hemp fishing prawn on the hook, it was unbelievable, my mate Rob a couple of weeks later was involved in a conversation in the pub, he shouted over to me, I said wots up, he said, if you get the fish on it at woodlands, can you over feed? I said if you can feed with a shovel you won't feed them off, they clean up quicker than a Dyson 😂

Hi guys well that was an eye opening video for me as I don't fish for F1's. That pack feeding frenzy explained so much. The big tench that I like feed much more slowly and deliberately while bream swim around quite quickly. This sort of video teaches anglers so much about what really happens underwater. As a result I now fish shorter helicopter type rigs for bream and tench and I know to use a binder on the 2mm pellets when using the method and to allow it to settle where it lands. Keep it up please this is so useful Bill

Awesome video from the pro,s, fair to say there,s a similarity to how fish / birds eat, ie your on a lake, ducks geese etc all tend to go straight to where your throwing in your bait/ground bait, when your not they move away to who ever else is throwing bait about, so fair to say the fish mirror the tactics , zoom in to where the ground bait is falling and spring clean the lot,but the evidence is there, feed regular ,keep the fish in the swim,don't let them near your neighbours peg, my bad habit is feeding in ground bait until another island pops up :):)

Its incredible how much we think is happening and in reality it isn't lol, great episode guys, so when I hook a roach in the margins it means the bait is gone basically.......wish I'd watch this sooner lol....

Wow what an eye opener that was you can understand why you get fowl hookers the bait just gets wafted about everywhere especially micro's if you started with small pellets to get them in and then just feed corn or 6 or 8m pellets so they stay on the bottom So interesting to see but what an angler jamie is he's so knowledgeable that's why he's one of the best around. Always a great watch thanks Jamie Rob and Matrix 🎣

Brilliant, guys and well done. My thoughts are how do carp (rather than F1s ) react and if you have bream in the peg, you will never know your bait is all gone. Maybe after any float movement you should feed a little more again. Fascinating a really good job, now do some big carp please?

Used sticky mag so I could get balls of maggots down to the deck in a a deep swim - caught a perch with most of the ball in its gob - as some species eat crayfish - I reckon they snaffle a ball of bait and possibly crunch it up in their pharyngeal teeth ?? -I've always imagined a carpet of bait would get the fish browsing steadily as opposed to rushing in on a tight area ???? - undewater shots a real eye opener - great stuff .

Hi Rob, I am new to waggle fishing and would like to ask a question that may appear silly, but here goes. Does adding a quick change link on to the rig change the weight and performance of a preloaded waggler?

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn. (“Confucius”) But the more I learn, the more confused I seem to get (“Wicks”) Unless feeding a ball of paste stops them moving the feed around? Great video👌

When I’ve fished in the rain should I dry my pole when I arrive home ? MTX1
@ifishmatrix
@ifishmatrix 3 жыл бұрын
You don't have to but the rain often also makes fine grit and grit stick to the pole which then can wear the joints when you put it together. It can also make the pole a bit sticky so it doesn't ship out as smoothly

I suspect the pack feeding of F1 is down to the goldfish gene! Anyone watching fish in a pond will see the same behaviour. Great informative video though. Well done.

That F1 that hogged down the enyire ball made me laugh. Just like 1 of my sones. But was this just a one off event? Or do you think this is really common place? When you think that on this occasion most fish were on the small size. And then think about those places where the average F1 is 1lb heavier. Would it be out of the question to doulbe the ammount of feed going in?
@ifishmatrix
@ifishmatrix 3 жыл бұрын
We also think the f1's grabbed the whole ball before it even got to the bottom. We don't think feeding more bait is the answer as it gets the fish a bit crazy which was the problem when Jamie increased the feed towards the end of the video. Stick to small amounts but keep it going in regularly
