I wasn't planning to do this, but I don't trust clickbait speed subs to handle Matsuri's words on such an important and delicate matter. I would encourage people to always be suspicious when a title or thumbnail tries to tell you how to feel or tries to sell you a story before you even watch the video. There's no doubt that trolls and haters on social media are a source of stress for Matsuri, but she also puts a lot of pressure on herself, and has to deal with other things like entitled "fans" who think they can dictate her content, etc. That is to say, there are a lot of factors to this situation, and you should listen to what she has to say and try to draw your own conclusions. Things can't be summed up with a simple clickbaity "Mean People Make Girl Cry" Watch responsibly. Share responsibly.

I saw the clickbait videos... And I instantly knew I would either need to go straight to the source or wait for someone who understands the situation better. Because, it was pretty obvious: knowing Matsuri, it was not as simple as the clickbait implied. Thank you very much for translating Matsuri's thoughts, lyger.

to be honest, it doesn’t sound like she’s crying because of the mean comments, I think she’s too strong for that. This is just my take but it seems more like she’s just frustrated at how their team placed, and mentioning the hate was just giving context to why she wanted to do better this time and why she’ll keep trying hard for next time. It’s hard to see her so down, but seeing her so passionate about continuing despite it all is... weirdly inspiring/heartwarming? tsuyoi

This was also the case when she was playing with HappySet last time. She felt they could do better and while she was having fun playing with the team, it's frustrating when you know you could do better, when you put effort into something and it didn't turn out as you'd hoped for.

She has definitely improved alot from the last tournament, it shows her love for APEX to keep playing and keep improving. And thats how games should be treated as, you improve at your own pace while maintaining the level of enjoyment you get from playing it. its pointless if you tried too hard to get better but it ended up being frustrating and you don't enjoy it anymore. Winners are those who dont give up and keep improving, without comparing themselves to others. Take the losses of these tournaments as motivation for you to get better. And continue to enjoy the game, i always will. Be there to support Matsuri. I believe Matsuri will be the champion in the future ^^

When the tournament's teams were first announced, I (as a big Towa fan more than anything else) wasn't expecting TMS to be half as endearing as they turned out to be. Sure, I've watched a lot of Matsuri (thanks Lyger), and even some Sumire clips here and there, but just because people are entertaining on their own doesn't always mean they'll have synergy (which is obviously key for competitive Apex Legends). But *boy* was I proven wrong. I was rooting hard for this trio not just because I liked the girls individually, but also 'cause they had such a good vibe together I couldn't help but wish for their happiness. Could they have played better? Yes, of course they could have. Was luck sometimes not on their side? Sure it was. In any case, they absolutely made a good showing in a competition full of very talented gamers. As much as I would have liked them to take the podium, I'm content with the fact that they gained something priceless - a strong friendship, and I can't wait for the day they do something together again. And hey, they won some cool PCs, too!

I understand her frustration at how things turned out at the tournament (even though they've greatly improved and worked well as a team compared to the previous tourneys), and I've come to admire her efforts during their training, scrims and the tourney proper. I know she did her best and she had great rounds in the warm up streams. Playing Apex myself I know the feeling of panicking very well, especially during a tournament you worked so hard to improve your game for. It's not easy getting better especially since she has other things to do aside from playing apex, some people play this all day every day, hard to compete with them. That's why it's important to have fun no matter what and fans should understand and if they don't like how she plays just keep quiet and don't watch. Ruining someone's experience of a game they love is sad.

Even in Towa's stream I saw some rude comments towards Matsuri. But I dont know what they expect. Apex is a hard game. She's an average player(not an insult) playing against people who play apex almost day in and out who are at master rank, and even Gorilla who is pred rank. I feel like even Matsuri herself put too much expectation on herself in this respect. I actually think she had the best survival rate in most of the scrims and they really popped off in the last round of the tourney itself. It was also Towa's first tournament and Matsuri's second, which would've made it harder for them too In future tournaments if TMS get together again I think they can do really well. Thanks for the TL without the BS

My personal take on this: I wonder what the heck was up with those backseat critics that told Matsuri-chan that she was the weak link for her team. Those toxic people must be insane or something. As for the other thing: All I can say is that I believe Matsuri did what she could. The Shibuya HAL Vtuber APEX Tournament is really competitive.......especially when they are faced against the Nijisanji players (especially Nun Bora, Ratna, Chihiro, Kanae, Kuzuha, Albio, etc.).......and even against an unexpected group such as Team JMY (which includes Qu Qualia from Re:Act). But either way, I am glad that she is okay now =)

@pagatryx5451
@pagatryx5451 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly this. While it shouldn't be the case, the simple fact is when you play competitive games you get competitive people who care about winning, skill and player impact more than anything else. It's just the type of game it is. The problem is, some are just assholes. I love these types of games, and I'm competitive as hell. I don't mind bad players or those who don't take it too seriously, but there's plenty of _other_ types of players I do mind, and won't be scared to share my mind towards... I honestly get fed up of Apex really fast playing with randoms. But when you're just spectating, I really don't see why you have to get involved. Whether they win or not doesn't really effect you. And it's pretty clear they're just playing for fun, not to become the next pro e-sports player. I'm not particularly surprised these people exist, but I am confused towards why they are like that.
