I'm listening on studio monitors and they really mixed this like a 60's tune. Pretty cool. Reminds me of some doors tracks the way instruments are panned and what not. I dig it Matt Berry. It DOES sound super 60s, right down to the tape phasing, panned drums and vinyl surface noise! I’d be very interested to know what equipment he recorded this on…..

@@Ghoopty I watched a video a while back where he gave a pretty long interview that focused on his music. It was pretty interesting. At the time he did his own sound production/editing. It’s been a while since but I recall he mentioned using Korg equipment when he was starting out.

That's nonsense anyway. There's more incredible and diverse music than ever and it's easier to find than ever. It's only people who can't look past bland popular music who say that.
@LanceVanceDance843 жыл бұрын
@@timhorsburgh2193 Exactly! The ignorance of people who claim that "all music sucks nowadays" is truly astounding. Even if you tell them that the really good stuff typically isn't played on the radio anymore but can easily be found with a simple search, they don't believe you and continue to spread that bullshit belief. And they act as if _all_ music from the past was great, when there was just as much trash back then as there is today. Can't fix stupid I suppose.

@@cathalmcgahan4427 Check out a group from Australia called Pond. Their recent stuff is more psychedelic pop, but their earlier stuff is more psych-rock. All of it is amazing however. They're kind of like a cross between David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Prince. I'd recommend the albums "Beard, Wives, Denim", "The Weather" (my personal favorite of all-time), "Man It Feels Like Space Again", "Tasmania" and "Hobo Rocket".
