broo dallys description in the book is so different to matt's actual looks. tbh im surprised nobody made matt diy his hair blonde or anything for the movie so it matched the description in the book. but im glad they didnt cuz matt is handsome asfff like 🤚😭 he played dallys roll amazingly

The director actually wanted to have a stark visual difference between the Socs and Greasers on screen, so the Socs had lighter hair and more colorful clothes, while all the Greasers had darker hair. Any guy cast as Dally would have had dark hair and eyes anyways...so let's just be glad Matt landed the audition :P
