The water is deep and there are definitely rips at L Mar. I’m not trying to scare anybody but the hold downs and heavy waves are real there depending on tides, the size of the swell and where you are on the beach.

I'm guessing it doesn't get too crazy at Taco Bell? Only up the beach?

@@DubKicker101 here is a good tip, if you don’t see anyone surfing there and you aren’t confident in ability to handle do surf there. Although right in front of Taco Bell and to the left are usually good to go on most days for beginners unless decent swell.
