The Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins features a pair of custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups. Each delivers three distinct tones. The Alnico neck pickup provides a modern, active, high-output Alnico humbucker sound, a crisp, clean, and fluid neck humbucker sound, and a glassy, scooped, hi-fi single coil sound. The Ceramic bridge pickup offers a choice of modern, active, high-output ceramic humbucker tone, high-output passive ceramic humbucker tone, and a cutting, overwound single coil tone. These tonal options are selected with push/pull volume and tone pots. The maple-capped mahogany body has modern weight relief for hours of comfortable play, and the mahogany neck has a fast-playing SpeedTaper D profile and a contoured heel for exceptional upper-fret access. Gold hardware, including locking Grover Rotomatic tuners with Tulip buttons, and classic Les Paul Custom cosmetics make this a standout guitar on-stage. First time I watch an interview with M.H. Very articulate and logical way of speaking, which is refreshing given how so many other guitar players are unable to build a coherent sentence.

I saw Trivium at Colchester Arts Centre in 2005/6. Loved them ever since. Everyone was so obsessed that Corey is ‘the’ player. Matt’s since proven he’s an unstoppable force. Just a beast.

Oh mate - Colchester Arts Centre got some amazing bands back in the day - Anthrax in about 2003 or 2004 played it as a warmup show when they reunited with Joey and Frank. Just awesome. Was lucky enough to see Trivium in '06 I think down in Folkstone - it was a funny clifftop venue but an amazing show and so happy Trivium are still going strong.

First time I have seen the double strap. That thing would be a lifesaver for a Les Paul or heavy bass. Really sweet Epi LP. I would love a 7 string. I will keep my eye open for it.

When Matt said "Gibson Les Paul Custom Origins" I had to double take 😂 The white 7-string model is so clean but I also love the original Black Beauty which is so classic. Such a tough choice.

Not trying to knock it…but having an evertune on his touring guitar is proof that the stock signature setup may not stay in tune very well. I’m being nitpicky and I like trivium A LOT, however, observation of this configuration shows it’s not quite the same guitar.
