I remember this commercial when it came out and kept thinking, it must keep pouring after he's finished putting it on his hot dog, and it's now spilling all over the sidewalk. The commercial left me in a bit of a quandary.

Lol and...how did the ketchup spew all over the hotdog in one shot when it was coming out by the drops? And!...the edge of the building is nowhere near the sidewalk curb. The bottle neck would have to be as long as a broom stick to make that kind of a calculated drop. Not to mention the building would have to be slanted lol.

When this ad came out, I remember everyone was wondering who the cute guy in the ad was. If the internet was in 1987, this would have went viral. It's what really launched his career.

Holy shit, i remember this commercial! I didn't even catch onto this guy being Matt Le Blanc until I revisited the commercial just now. They used to air this commercial ALL THE TIME in the very late '80s/very early '90s and I thought it was so cool then! Of course, I was a little kid then too so I would consider it "cool", but... damn, what a trip down memory lane!

I agree on that last bit. I had to order Heinz mustard from the states. Now i just got a batch of Heinz mayonaisse from the states. I started placing their tomato ketchup in glass bottles to wrid it of some of that plastic scent. Now at last they sell glass Heinz ketchup bottles here in our stores in Norway. Heinz is KING !
