Mercer is probably my favorite person on Critical Role. He naturally has to be the most patient and least assuming person at the table. All while being an incredible talent at what he does.

Congrats to Grace and Caroline--as hosts for this segment of Miami University's "student-run news show," I appreciate your hard work. Well done. Mr. Mercer is a consummate professional and his participation in this news show segment shows class; it also shows how "grounded" he is--he didn't have to do this interview, but he knows "everyone" has to start "somewhere," so why not engage--be present, be genuine, and show Grace and Caroline the respect they deserve.

Matt Mercer is always a treat. I really loved the interviewers as well! I know they have restrictions on time and questions but I would love to hear/see more of their personality, they seem like lovely people!

I found this video after looking up CR shorts. Im sorry there’s a few negative comments. Yes there’s some things that could be worked on but no need to be rude about it. Matt is such a wonderful person I’m sure he wasn’t going to complain he didn’t have a front on camera 😂

Matt's charisma carried that whole set. Geez can we at least get some que cards for these interviewers so they're at least not reading off of a page, on camera!?
@CrowCommando7 ай бұрын
Side note: You have a two-camera setup, and for some reason the "guest cam" is pointed at their ear!? Production, people.

There's a good way to give constructive feedback, and this is not it.
@CrowCommando6 ай бұрын
On the contrary; I pointed out a couple of things that they could do to improve their production, and gave praise to Mercer. I didn't insult or belittle anyone involved... But thank you for your feedback ;)@@emilymartin5418

@@CrowCommando you praised Matt while excluding the others, framed your suggestion as obvious, and used outraged exclamations and sarcasm. If you think your tone was neutral or encouraging, you are mistaken.

Never claimed to be neutral or encouraging. I simply defended the validity of my constructive criticism - Which I maintain to be accurate and true. Never meant to sugar coat it because I'm not a grammar school teacher.@@emilymartin5418

Not purely hetero? Isn’t he married? Hope he doesn’t have a wandering eye. 😬
@FeatherlessWings6 ай бұрын
People under the bisexual umbrella are no more or less likely to cheat than straight people. You don’t stop finding other people of the opposite sex attractive when you get married, you just behave correctly. The cheating bisexual thing is a really garbage stereotype.
@bleybourne16 ай бұрын
He's interesting to listen to, but those are the two worst interviewers I've ever seen. Couldn't even be bothered memorising any info to avoid just staring at a page all the time, barely react to what he's saying but just wait for him to finish talking and then read the next question from the paper while barely looking at him or the camera. Great interviewee, awful interview.
@second0banana6 ай бұрын
They are college students just starting to do their very first interviews. I thought they did a great job for very young adults who are learning a skill that is a lot harder than it looks.
@Boone9ln6 ай бұрын
If I was sitting opposite Matt I would hardly be able to make eye contact either out of pure nerves. They are learning so give them a break
