Great performance from the British team !! I would also like to note the good performance of Russian swimmers, who beat the US team in the 4×200m relay, as at the World Swimming Championships in 2017 and 2019.

also, Russian Swimmers became the Best Athletes in Men's Swimming for Individual Gold medals at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, held in the United States, on home territory for US Swimmers.

In the entire History of the Olympic Games, in Men's Swimming at the Olympic Games, the 50 and 100 meter Freestyle distances at one single Olympics, only Three won, Matt Biondi (Seoul 1988), Caleb Dressel (Tokyo 2020), Alexander Popov (Barcelona 1992) (Atlanta 1996). but Popov did it on Dressel and Biondi's home territory, in their homeland.
