After the harmonic balancer was spinning on the crank, we stripped down the bottom end sent the crank off for repair then put it all back together.

It's good to see you have such a good relationship with your Dad, enjoy his company for as long as he's here. Mines been gone from cancer since 1994 and I miss the times I had with him in the shop. Keep sharing the projects and creating the memories. 😃

Hey mate ive just had the exact same thing happen to me last week. Just wondering what your costs of crank repair and parts were?
@jaydnp.2 жыл бұрын
Cost is irrelevant as depends on what's damaged and salvageable, best option would be secondhand crankshaft
@chaoticmuscles2 жыл бұрын
@@jaydnp. what did you pay? My damage on the end of the shaft is almost identical, key exploded and pulley spun. Im assuming the rest of the crank okay or atleast I hope! Second hand seems to be really hard to find for turbo spec.

Yeah to much smoke that's why it looks like it is overdue for oil change in first video.
@jaydnp. Жыл бұрын
He did oil changes pretty regularly, smoke would contaminate the oil pretty quick
