I had been tasked with helping those who are mentally unwell integrate into fellowship in a recent project essay ... similar issue as no one want's to approach them because they don't know what to say & how to act around them ... I likened it to inviting the poor, the crippled, the blind & the lame to the banquet in Luke 14. God is good & uses us those who are willing to invite them in. Pastor Jeff is a legend

The Lord used this scripture to reach me. I am of Maori and European descent. I grew up believing as a half-caste I was destined for a life of lower class poverty. I believed that was just a fact of my birth. Only white people were wealthy and privileged and Christian. I was not worthy of Jesus' message it was not intended for me. Then, as a young, spiritualist, hippie, unmarried mother, I met a white Christian woman married to a Maori Christian man. She introduced herself to me, saying the Lord laid it on her heart to share this scripture with me. Her willingness to admit she was a sinner, combined with her love for Jesus and knowledge of the Bible, opened my mind to ask, am I worthy of this love? I started a relationship with God and eventually walked through a church door and began to study His Word. My life and my family have been blessed with love and hope ever since. Thank you, Jesus, for your love and reaching out to me who was far from God to show me I too was worthy to come near to receive it. ❤
