My name is Matthew Hennig. I am a thoracic and vascular surgeon here at Norton Clark Hospital. Someone may come to see me because they are dealing with a recent found lung cancer, or maybe they have problems with pain in their legs when they're walking, or maybe they have just found to have a big aneurysm in their abdomen and they need somebody to be able to help treat that problem. We see age ranges from generally 18 to I've had someone over 100 years old, so a wide range of people, and we're here to help everybody that we can.
So when you come to see us in our office, first step is to figure out exactly what is going on with you. That may mean obtaining more testing, that may mean having to be evaluated in another area of the hospital. Once we are able to get all the information, then we'll talk about the results, talk about our options and then figure out what the best way to treat your problem is. So I grew up in Texas. I lived there all my life until I went to residency in Indianapolis. I was there for about seven years, and then I was in Chicago for a few years, and then I moved here. So I've been in Southern Indiana now for about 10 years.
