Came here to say this exactly. He has a charismatic, almost oddly hypnotic quality to his performance, especially in the scenes where he's pitching a film. Plus he has a slightly nasaly voice, which he amps up in the show, presumably to reflect Evans' well-documented fondness for Colombian marching powder. Fantastic performance.

Of all the work I've seen Matthew Goode do in film I'd say his portrayal of Robert Evans is probably the best acting he's done. His voice mannerisms are perfect. Good Job, Matthew!

Ah I watched The Offer a lil late but I have to talk about how good Matthew Goode was! I was just waiting for him to come on my screen throughout the show. He played a very charismatic, unique person with an interesting voice and somehow nailed it perfectly. I forgot I was even watching Matthew. I wish more people were talking about this damn portrayal!

Never noticed Mathew Goode until the Offer. Great to hear him talk about what he did to develop his portrayal of Robert Evans, especially that he was wise enough to avoid imitating Bob in his later years. I will definitely be checking out his other work.

Yes, Matthew does a stellar job in the role. Just look up any of Evans videos here from the 70s and he's got the mannerisms and tone to a T. Also, Juno Temple iand Miles Teller are a delight on this series as well.

I’m not sure if this counts as a “correction,” but I find it super weird that Matthew Goode followed Christine Baranski yet no-one mentioned that they worked together on The Good Wife. (Finn’s departure broke my heart btw.)

He was born just a few years after me, i grew up in the 80s and i dont know what set it off but American Football at that time got really big here in the uk, i remember my Dad went to florida one year and brought back some miami dolphins items for me, i seem to remember the Giants were my team at the time. I still dont fully understand the rules though lol.

The story about village fokes letting kids under 18 watch 18+ movies is so relatable. Im also from countryside and if they did know you,they sold you stuff that was not for underaged kids like alcohol or tabacco. Nice to see he grew up like me. I love him. He blew me away as villain in King's man.

Why the rush when you have a guest of such talent? Honestly, there was so much you could have gone into about his career - seemed like a disappointing afterthought. Mr. Goode is always professional and charming though.
