In 1977, former Pennsylvania State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky founded the children's charity the Second Mile, an organization designed to nurture underprivileged and at-risk youths. In 2012, Sandusky was convicted on 45 counts of child sexual abuse, and most of the victims who testified in the trial said they had met him through the Second Mile. (The organization, however, has never been charged with wrongdoing.) Another child who met Jerry Sandusky through the Second Mile was Matthew, whose single mother enrolled him in the camp to provide him with positive male role models. Matthew was eventually adopted by Jerry Sandusky, and revealed near the end of the 2012 trial that he had been sexually molested for years by his adoptive father. You can tell when someone is telling the truth or not, this guy is absolutely telling the truth, and this is NOT something that a grown man would use to get attention, as it points and puts to question his own sexuality ... something which most men protect, guard and fight for!

That awkward feeling he described is a “wrong” feeling. Even as a child you know that it’s wrong. You don’t know How to register the moment but you know in your gut it is not supposed to be happening so it makes the moment awkward for a child. The room swells and comes as close to you to almost swallow you up and then, nothing it just Hoover’s over you. You know it’s wrong but you can hold it in and hope that it doesn’t happen again. It’s awkward because you love the accuser and hope that it wasn’t what you thought. As a victim myself, a healed victim that held onto my secrecy in hopes for change I totally understand. God bless you and your family.

I feel so bad for him. I wonder how many more victims there are and we have absolutely no clue! They usually come forward after many years and by then their abusers have already gone on to molest other children and also live full lives!!! So unfair disgusting and freaky

He did change his name at one point then changed it back, because nobody cared about him or his story without the name Sandusky. He says it himself in the Happy Valley doc. The name was a golden ticket in and around State College. Listen to Ziegler's pod about PSU. Lots of unanswered (and unasked) questions from the investigation.

As a mother it's really hard to listen to someone talk about things I used to do innocently with my very young children, blowing raspberries on their tummies, games essentially that I have used to show affection; and his abuser used them to get him accustomed to more and more inappropriate touching. I feel sick, have made my children vulnerable? Just because I wanted to get them to laugh? 😰😭

Jerry can not manipulate anyone any longer ! He portrayed himself so well for years and hid behind a college reputation ! Shamefully of both ! Prestige didn't win this time ! This Many boys that came forward is what finally got truth out And college knew it wasn't Time to cover up this matter any longer !! It's sad for so many boy's had to go thru this because of a college prestigious institution ! Shamefully so !!!! Jerry wife is absolutely in total denial !!! She obviously turned a blind eye And deaf ears to it And still does !! THANK goodness Jerry wasn't a serial killer because she'd be More focused on her Church groups than the fact of what occurred ! Personally I have no respect for her left ! To continue her story of she doesn't believe there story is no longer denial it's selfishness beyond words ! She is more focused on herself and Self survival than the facts of so many that were molested ! It absolutely sickens me to think she's free Still !! Nobody is excempt from the truth finding it's way out ... nobody!!! But by her in her words on an interview with matt lauer , she said she HEARD no screams .. Lord lady like you were home when it occurred .. Jerry was good at Manipulative tactics needed And as his wife you were easiest to work around when he NEEDED basement ! Divorce him or staying in denial ... Either way I fault her because nobody is excempt from Truth .. Unless you need that monthly pension , isn't that more the issue ? May God question her at this point for the role she is being used for even today ... Jerry's only link to outside of prison walls ... And she still allows him to Manipulate HIM ... Really ??? Yes that tells me she knew then and now but by playing the role NEEDED comes with pension purposes !!! May Jerry rot in hell And may she relive what he's done with her Life to daily !!!

I had a friend in school and she came forth with her experience of abuse. She was also groomed, and he used a swimming people to touch her in places he shouldn't have.

Right around 2:40 I had a OMFG MOMENT. I remember telling my mom about my grandpa making me uncomfortable I grew up in Michigan and he lived in Cali so we didn't visit much. He kept trying to pull me on his lap, stare at me and rub his big toe under my legs. I am seriously afraid for my cousins that did grow up with him and like Jerry Sandusky. He is a respected man. Access to children. Like this man I wasn't hugged and touched like that at home or ever felt that way.

That's a pretty big accusation from something that could well have been innocent. I would be very careful accusing someone simply because of what you've stated happened. Never being hugged or touched at home with genuine and good affection is not normal -- it's actually potentially abusive. Kids need hugs. Most parents what to smother their babies with hugs and kisses. That's actually really important to child development. The issue with Sandusky was that his intent was progressive and sexual.

@@europianbob this is how you know he's telling the truth. Remembering details that are trivial or insignificant show's he's telling the truth. Children who are abused can remember several details, that make no difference to a trial. Do you remember what you were wearing the first time u went to a funeral or at your senior prom? Usually people young or old remember things that made an impression on them. The things he's describing in great detail shows me he's being honest. Also grown men usually don't tell anyone bc they are ashamed of the abuse they suffered. They usually believe it was their own fault or would embarras their families. He's saying this on national t.v. and people are calling him a liar. No one wants to admit to abuse like this period much less if the offender was a trusted member of their family.

As a mother I tell my children to trust no one and that if anyone ever makes them feel uncomfortable including household siblings, family or friends to speak up and tell. To have talk about these in a discussion with your 6-7 year old May not seem okay, but you’d be surprised at not only what can be done to them but by whom. Teach your kids, have the talks.

Most gullible comment section ever Matt Sandusky deserves sympathy from no one. The other 4 kids adopted by the Sanduskys from birth stand by them to this day. Matt was officially adopted and given the Sandusky name at 17 after a childhood full of crime and getting into trouble. He begged Jerry and Dottie to adopt him. On Day 1 of Jerry’s trial he was sitting next to Dottie in support of Jerry. When he saw first hand on that day how easy it would be to make up a story and collect a check from Penn State he immediately flipped and went to the police to give a story the next day. This disgusting lying pile of human waste sold out the only real family he ever had for $325K. He was recently spotted in Jan. 2023 working at a pizza place in a mall. His moment in the spotlight and money faded long ago and now he has nothing and no one. Karma caught up to Matt Sandusky.

read today's news.. see if this isn't real. The sick compulsion disorder continues. Matthew was not over it and still had a tremendous amount of rage. For a grown man relating his story...he appears unconvincing or articulate. He's not a young kid anymore, consequently he should be able to relate to Oprah. Oh, I'm sure that Mr. Sandusky is guilty of these charges...but if you are going to come forward with a story....his presentation seemed just...weak.
